The children of Mother in Celestial Ikuomola Abosede held a classy burial ceremony for their late mother in Lagos. The event was a celebration of the deceased for a life well spent. Mama died on the 11th of November, 2025, at the Gracious age of 74, leaving behind her husband, children, grandchildren, as well as other relations.
The burial ceremony started on Thursday, January 8th 2026, when the Christian Wake-keep was held at the deceased’s residence block 468, flat 2, Amuwo Odofin, behind Fagbems filling station, Lagos. The service was conducted by CCC Milestone Parish, Ijeshatedo, Lagos, CCC Orile Iganmu Cathedral and CCC Christ Ambassador Parish, Lagos.
The following day, Friday,9th, 2026, there was a lying in state, where the body of the deceased was displayed at the Paul Dike Hall,1 Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, at 10 a.m. Family, friends and well-wishers were allowed to have a glance at her and give her last respect before she would be laid to rest.
Her children are Madam Omolara, Mrs Seun Scot, Mr Damilare and Mr Eniola.

Late Mother Celestial Ikuomola Abosede Doris was so prominent in the church where she worshipped till death. She was the mother in Celestial in CCC Milestone Parish, Ijeshatedo, Lagos.
She is a true worshipper, and her philanthropic gesture is also worthy of note.
These are the reasons the church gave her a befitting burial service. She has really been helpful to the work of God.
At exactly 10 am, the body of the deceased was brought to the Paul Dike Hall for the final burial service, which was conducted under the supervision of high-ranking officiating ministers and men of God. It was all about a moment of reflection about vainess of life and the need to return to the lord in total submission.
A lot was said about Mother in Celestial Ikuomola Abosede Doris’ life and times, as a devoted Christian. Her husband, children and members of the family prayed that God Almighty would grant them the fortitude to bear the great loss and continue to uphold them.
Immediately after the church service, Mother in Celestial Ikuomola’s body was taken to Ikoyi Cemetery, Obalende, Ikoyi, where she was buried. The service at the graveyard was conducted, after which her body was committed to Mother Earth, amidst tears from family members as they wished her farewell home. They would indeed miss Mother in Celestial Ikuomola. Following the burial of Mother in Celestial Ikuomola, the children held a classy reception party for their guests who travelled from far and near to take part in the celebration.
The reception party was held at The Condo Event Centre,1 Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The party was a classy one, as many friends and family stormed the hall to celebrate with the gorgeously Madam Omolara and her siblings for giving their deceased mother a befitting burial. It was also a colourful party which saw the hosts and their guests styled their Ankara and lace Aso -ebi to taste.
It was as if there was a fashion contest at the party. The children of the deceased wore 3 different expensive native attires.
The musician of the day was Bright Music Band, a very creative and entertaining music band. It was an evening of total fun for the hosts and their guests.
MC Dre. anchored the event, and he thrilled the guests from the beginning of the event till the end.
The deceased is from Ode Irele, in Ondo State and the reason why the Biripo dancing group performed at the reception, Biripo dance and song, is common and known among Ilaje and Ikale people; their performance added more juice to the event.
Topping the list of important people who rocked the party from beginning to end are friends and guests of Madam Omolara, Mr and Mrs Scot, Mr Damilare, and the deceased’s children. Ikuomola family, Olowomuwagun family, UBA staff, Xgen/Reconnect/IGSS/IBSS, CCC Milestone Parish, CCC Christ Ambassador Parish, CCC Orile Iganmu Parish, and well-wishers. They are beautiful, classy and the epitome of fashion. Their presence and display at the party brightened the party mood and added lots of glamour to the event. Some of them are friends who came from all over the globe.
There was enough food, drinks, and souvenirs to cater to the huge number of guests who graced the party.
Lots of gift items were distributed, as souvenirs in appreciation, to guests who came in numbers to celebrate with them.

BIOGRAPHY OF MOTHER IN CELESTIAL IKUOMOLA
Abosede Doris Olowomuwagun Ikuomola was born on February 15th,1951, to late Reverend Josiah Olowomuwagun in Ode Irele, Ondo State. Her nickname is Mama Teacher. She went to Anglican Primary School, Ode Irele, Ondo State, Ugbonla Secondary Modern School, Ilaje LGA, Ondo State, Ajara Teachers Training College, Badagry, Lagos State, Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State. She is a mathematics teacher by profession, she attends Celestial Church of Christ and is a mother in Celestial in CCC, she is married with children and grandchildren. Mentoring was one of her greatest passions; she took joy in guiding, encouraging and sharing her knowledge with others, always inspiring growth, confidence, and self-development in everyone she encountered.
She was passionate about helping others, often spending her time supporting those in need through acts of kindness, charity, and community service. She found joy in cooking and sharing meals, ensuring everyone around her was cared for and well-fed. Travelling around the world was another joy of hers; she delighted in exploring different cultures, meeting people from all walks of life, and learning from every experience. Her travels reflected her open -mindedness, and deep love for humanity. She enjoyed learning, teaching, nurturing her faith, and creating meaningful moments with family and friends. Above all, her interests were rooted in love, service, and connection, values she lived by every day. A philanthropist and mentor, she was deeply committed to serving her community. She believed that community was built through care, generosity, and action. She never ignored the needs around her; whether someone required food, financial assistance, guidance, or encouragement, she stepped forward willingly. She lives behind a legacy of love, faith, generosity, and selflessness. She lived not for herself, but for others, feeding the needy, supporting those in financial need, comforting the hurting, and guiding many with her wisdom. God -fearing life, simplicity, and passion for self -development inspired everyone around her to grow, to give, and to live with purpose.
Thanksgiving service was held at her Parish, CCC Milestone Parish Ijeshatedo, Surulere Lagos on Sunday 11th, January 2026.
