These are good times for HRM Queen (Dr.) Yewande Okunoren-Oyekanu. It was her 45th Birthday and coronation celebration on 15th July 2026 in Malawi. Reception followed immediately in Malawi. She was coronated  HRM Queen Adesewa 1 of Ayegbe Kingdom, Nigeria and as Queen Kondwelani 1 of Malawi.

 

She is a Peace Ambassador, Multinational Volunteers, Coordinator (SMM IHRC). Omoba Dr Yewande Yewande Okunoren-Oyekenu is a Princess of Sagamu Remo and Queen of Ayegbe Kingdom (HRM Queen Adesewa I).

 

Recently, she was conferred with Honorary Queenship Title (HRM Queen Kondwelani I) by the Chichewa Tribe of Malawi for her role as a Goodwill Ambassador.

 

She is a neuroscience researcher interested in healthcare law, innovations, trauma, neonatal brain repair, anaesthesia, and pain management. She has a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Olabisi Onabanjo University and an M.Sc. in Pharmacology & Therapeutics with a specialisation in Pharmacokinetics from the University of Ibadan, both in Nigeria. Her doctoral career started at the University of Leicester, UK, where she studied Cell Physiology & Pharmacology (Neuroscience) before transferring to California Intercontinental University for a Doctorate of Business Administration (Healthcare Management & Leadership).

As Wendy Noren’s CEO & Principal Investigator, she bridges the gap between medical research and industry to ensure the rapid translation of research results to benefit societal needs. She serves as a Board Member for Pray Motion and an Advisory Board Member at school, both in the USA. Yewande encourages ages 9-18 to engage in STEM careers and serves as a Mentor to Students in Health Sciences at Kisread University, California, in her role as COO and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

 

She was awarded a prize from the British Pharmacological Society for the best education poster presented in Scotland at Pharmacology 2019, which has inspired her to make the subject of anaesthetic pharmacology easy to understand. She is an Affiliate Member of the British Pharmacological Society, Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Regular Member of the Society for Neuroscience, e.t.c. She served in the Royal Voluntary Service, UK as an NHS COVID-19 Volunteer Responder during the pandemic.
