To Save Late OGOGO
Unknown to many, Ogun guber hopeful Senator, Olamilekan Solomon (YAYI) did everything to save the late popular actor, Taiwo Hassan popularly known as Ogogo. Ogogo died a few weeks ago after a prolonged battle with Cancer. Ogogo who hails from the same Ado/Odo Ota LGA as YAYI had the best medical hands to keep him alive before his demise.
Before now, news of Senator YAYI’s plan to fly Ogogo to India for treatment was the only narrative in the media. Perhaps the story was deeper than that. This is because Yayi actually went a notch further in keeping his Kinsman alive and he spread no cost. According to the late actor’s closest aide, Olu Ayinde, popularly called Olu Ogogo by many, Senator Yayi flew in a Medical Doctor from India to treat the late thespian.
In an interview with City People ADIGUN SUNDAY, Olu Ogogo said when Ogogo’s condition became worse, Yayi suggested they flew him to India. However, the VISA application process took time and by the time the VISA was out, Ogogo’s conditioned had gotten from bad to worse so much so they could not fly him out again because he was too weak to fly in an Airplane. Hear him: “The following day, they assembled and Senator YAYI suggested they take him to India but the VISA application process delayed. By the time the Visa was out, he was already too weak to fly. Senator YAYI then made arrangement and flew in a Dr. from India. The Doctor suggested we moved him to another hospital, so that same night, we moved him to St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos and they started the treatment immediately.
They brought in several specialists and the treatment was going on fine. He was was eating little by little until 5 days to his death that everything changed. We just thank God because I believe God made the death easy for him, he didn’t allow him to go through much pains before taking him, probably because of his good deeds. Ogogo was a good man to the core, he was very nice to us. He had a free mind. My prayers for him is to continue to rest in peace. His death still remains a big shock to me”, remarked Olu.
