The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State has set a target of at least two million votes each for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani in the 2027 general elections.
The Chairman of the Coalition of APC Support Groups for Tinubu and Uba Sani Continuity, 2027, Kaduna State Chapter, Alhaji Musa Bawa FCNA, announced the target during a meeting with political support groups and coalition members in Kaduna.
Bawa urged members of the various support groups to intensify grassroots mobilisation and ensure massive participation in the APC campaign rally scheduled for October 24, 2026.
He called on the groups to mobilise their members and supporters to attend the rally in large numbers, urging them to appear with their respective banners, T-shirts and other identifying materials.
According to him, the decision to commence the campaign activities in Kaduna should inspire party members to work hard towards securing victory for the APC at both the state and national levels.
Bawa said Kaduna State must reciprocate the confidence reportedly reposed in it by President Tinubu, who is expected to use the state as the first campaign ground ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The coalition chairman spoke as the group officially launched its membership registration portal at the APC Secretariat, Ciki da Waje, Kaduna.
The portal was introduced to streamline membership registration, improve data collection and strengthen the coalition’s organisational structure ahead of the elections.
The launch was performed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Sani Kila, who represented Governor Uba Sani at the event, marking the commencement of the coalition’s digital membership registration exercise.
In his remarks, the APC State Chairman, Hon. AtikuSankey, commended the coalition for its organisational initiative, stressing the importance of a united party structure in achieving electoral success.
He urged party support groups to work together and strengthen their coordination in support of the APC’s political objectives.
Also speaking, the state’s Commissioner for Finance, Honourable Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed, called on party members to familiarise themselves with the achievements of the Tinubu and Uba Sani administrations, particularly in education, healthcare and other critical sectors.
He said members should be equipped with accurate information about the administrations’ performance to enable them to communicate their achievements effectively to voters.
The commissioner advised the party to focus on presenting its records and programmes to the electorate rather than engaging in unnecessary confrontations with political opponents.
He expressed confidence that the achievements of both administrations would provide the APC with a strong basis to seek another mandate in 2027.
The Secretary-General, Alkasim Muhammad, emphasised the importance of online registration in ensuring accurate membership records and effective communication.
An information and communications technology consultant also demonstrated how members could register through the newly launched portal.
Goodwill messages were delivered by the coalition’s zonal coordinators from Zones 1, 2 and 3.
The Grand Patron of the coalition, Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Hon. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, was represented by Alhaji Abdulmajid Dandawaki, his Special Assistant.
Dandawaki stressed the importance of grassroots mobilisation and urged the various support groups to align their activities with the national leadership of the party.
The coalition called on APC supporters across Kaduna State to register through the new portal, strengthen their grassroots structures and mobilise support for the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani in 2027.
