Mogaji ‘Bowale Oluwole Arisekola, The Street Journal Magazine publisher and president of the Association of Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria (AMPON), will on Thursday 19th December 2024, give out daughter’s hand in marriage.
Segilola and her partner, Samuel Aisabokhae, will be joined as husband and wife at an exclusive introduction and traditional wedding ceremony to hold at the Grand Ball Room of the Lagos Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos State. Reception for the wedding ceremony follows immediately at the same venue.
The colour code is Pink or Purple for women and Pink/Purple on White attire for men.
The wedding ceremony, no doubt, promises to be a big show not just because of Arisekola’s deep family ties but also for his business, political and social connections.
It will be a gathering of who-is-who in business, politics and social circles across the country.
It will be an avenue that many are looking towards to pay the Ibadan-born businessman back for his warm disposition and philanthropic gestures over the years.
Arisekola, the Mogaji (family head) of Ajenigieye, Oje, Ibadan, is naturally a man of the people. He treats everyone who has ever crossed his path with utmost respect, irrespective of their age or status.
Above all, he’s a philanthropist. He had touched and still touching a lot of lives but don’t just make noise about it. In fact, charity works come naturally for him. He has a good number of students, both at elementary and high institution levels, on his scholarship scheme.
He has secured employments for many youths with his rich contacts. Many old people, as well as widows are on his payroll.
This year alone, Arisekola has splashed several millions of naira on charity works. He recently distributed 3,000 bundles of exercise books and 1,500 school bags to primary and secondary school students within his family compound in Yemetu-Oje, Ibadan.
So for the above mentioned factors and many others, the wedding, indeed, will be a colourful and memorable one. The best of the best events vendors in town are engaged for the party. Laolu Gbenjo, the gospel music sensation, will entertain guests at the wedding ceremony.
Of course, Mogaji Wole Arisekola and his beautiful wife, Chief (Mrs) Morenike Arisekola, irrespective, have every reason to celebrate in a mega way. Segilola, the bride-to-be, is their first child.
So this is the very first time they would be having this kind of event. Also, all their children are all doing wonderfully well.
Segilola, like her father, is a practising journalist. She’s a travel and documentary journalist. She’s also a producer who is involved in several projects including the Michael Palin Series. Segilola is a product of City University, London, where she bagged a degree in Law.
The second daughter, Wuraola, about two years ago, graduated with a Distinction in her master’s degree program from the prestigious University College of London. The other two, Diekola and Monisola, are exceptionally brilliant and also excelling in their academics.
