The Annual Dr Abayomi Opaneye Rumble Tournament, which took place yesterday, at Lagos Country Club, was a remarkable success and a true celebration of sportsmanship, camaraderie and vibrant fellowship within the Section.
It was an evening filled with laughter, friendly banter and high-spirited competition as the Section came alive with excitement. The tournament culminated in an award presentation ceremony where the Chairman of the Section, Mr Abiodun Bamgbade, emerged as the Overall Winner of the tournament.
The event seamlessly transitioned into a lively social gathering where members relaxed and bonded over delicious servings of Asun and Guinea fowl, complemented by chilled drinks of their choice — a perfect close to an exhilarating evening.
The Management Committee and the entire Table Tennis Section sincerely appreciate and thank Dr Abayomi Opaneye for his generosity, unwavering support, and enduring love for the Section. His kind gesture continues to strengthen the spirit of unity, fellowship, and excellence within our fold.
