•Becomes Grand Ambassador Of IBADAN Culture
The former first lady of Oyo State, Chief (Mrs) Olayinka Mutiat Ladoja, added a new feather to her cap last week. She was decorated as the Grand Ambassador of Ibadan Culture at a colourful ceremony on Tuesday, 8th February 2022. The well-deserved honour was bestowed on her by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), as part of the lined-up activities marking the celebration of Ibadan Cultural Festival Week, 2022.
According to CCII, Yinka Ladoja is being honoured in recognition of her exceptional commitment, outstanding qualities and positive contributions to the development of Ibadanland. The decoration ceremony, which was held at her Iyaganku GRA residence in Ibadan, attracted many important personalities, traditional chiefs, as well as political and business top echelons. Guests were treated specially in a mini but well-arranged reception. The food menu was very rich and classy. There was more than enough drinks too.
Some of the top celebrities who graced the special occasion include CCII President, Prince Yemisi Adeaga; the Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oloye Lekan Alabi; Mogaji Moshood Gbolagade Akere; Hon. Yinka Omikunle; Hon. Kunle Busari; political women leaders amongst others.
Of course, Mutiat Ladoja’s choice as the Grand Ambassador of Ibadan Culture, no doubt, is a round peg in a round hole. She is truly a cultural icon whose lifestyle, dressing and carriage have influenced several other women, both young and old, positively. She has remained as gorgeous and as beautiful as ever. She has remained powerful in and out of office as the former first lady too.
In Oyo politics, Yinka Ladoja is very prominent and still relevant up till today. She is one of the most respected female politicians in the state. Her charisma, beauty and fashion sense always speak for her at any gathering she may find herself.
Apart from that, Yinka Ladoja loves Ibadan with a passion. She doesn’t joke with anything that has to do with Ibadan. She is an Ibadan woman proper. She has always believed in channelling her energy and money into whatever will benefit Ibadan. She is in the Iyalode line of Ibadan traditional chiefs. She is the Agbaakin Iyalode of Ibadanland.
These qualities and several others must have been the reason why CCII deemed it fit to honour Chief (Mrs) Olayinka Mutiat Ladoja with the Grand Ambassador of Ibadan Culture.
