Thursday 15, December, 2022 will remain indellible in the minds of Executive Director/Proprietress, staff, and pupils of Frontliners Schools as it celebrated her 20th Anniversary cum Christmas Carol amidst fanfare.
The event was held at the magnificent and yet to be commissioned school’s event centre along Shasha Road, Akowonjo in Lagos.
The epoch making event started at exactly 12.30pm with a scintillating performance from the school teachers. The opening prayer was led by Mrs. Enwerem followed by both the national anthem and school anthem conducted by the school orchestra.
A special session were led by the Area Superintendent of The Apostolic Church, Oshodi area, Pastor F. O. Olotu.
Two lessons were read from the Bible anchored by the duo of Mrs. Oluwatoyin Olotu (St. Luke Chapter 1 vs 26-33) and Mrs. Adejuigbe Adeyinka (St. Matt 2 – 1 to 11).
This was followed by a powerful but brief ministration from Pastor S.O. Oladejo of Triumphant Baptist Church, Akowonjo, where he directed the proprietress of the school Mrs. E. S. Aliu to read from Psalm 124 vs 1 to End and take it as her watchword.
Immediately after the sermon, 2 carol performances were conducted by the school pupils with their instruments.
The director in her remarks was full of gratitude and thanks to the Almighty God for being their bedrock since the inception of the school in a remote area of Agbado inside a rented apartment. She also appreciated the support and effort of her husband and others who supported them, the likes of Pastor Mrs. Alamu and Mr. Olatunji Abati followed by the citation of the school history by Mr. Fasakin the head of teacher of Agbado branch.
The old students were not left out, they trooped in enmasse to celebrate with their alma mata and reminisce on the tutelage and warm reception they enjoyed while in the school.
Surprisingly, the proprietress led the school teachers to render the anniversary hymn as she sang soul lifting gospel songs to the admiration of the guests, and interestingly her voice was melodius and can compete with the very best of gospel singers out there.
In addition, Lifetime Achievement/Evergreen Awards were given to staff/support group who have been with the school over 10 years and above diligently namely: Beauty Idokwaji, Folorunsho Ayodele Samuel, Orunsolu Falilat, Haastrup Ngozi, Lawal Atuba, Olotu Oluwatobi Seun, Afangide Ekpongmi Adolf, Ayantila Racheal Dupe, Awakan Omobola, Nwankpa Edith, David Shari Folashade, Oniovosa Stella, Omokanjuola Oluwatoyin, Orotayo Bolanle, Fasakin Olubunmi Abosede, Adeleye Omowunmi Olabambo, Fasakin Benjamin Adetiloye, Adeshina Olatunji Abati, Pastor Grace Iyabo Alamu and Elder Gabriel Toba Aliu for his unflinching support over the years.
There were cultural dance displays by the school teachers while the pupils did acrobatic, ballet and other special performance.
On the bandstand was D Romola Group while Shaffy Pot and Yemi Legend took change of the sumptous meal and small chop.
The master of ceremony was Adegboyega Adeola. In attendance were Elder Gabriel Aliu, Pastor F. O. Olotu, Pastor S.O. Oladejo, Pastor Shopeju, Pastor Mrs. Alamu, Pastor Modupe, Adeyemi, Deaconess F.J. Afolayan.
