Before his emergence as VP REDAN, South-west, he had all set out in the sector. He wants to provide affordable homes to lot of Nigeria. Now that he’s one of the top executives in the built sector, all eyes on him. This was his plan a few years back when City People spoke with him. “Like I did mention, we have land schemes that are targeted towards low-income earners. What I mean by the low-income earners are the Carpenters, Welder, market women and men. Everyone deserves to have a home. Wea ’ve got plan with a structured payment plan, that’s tailor-made to your earnings all in a bid to make you a landowner. Then we have a fantastic initiative for after-sale services that would take you through not just a landowner but becoming a homeowner within a short period”.
He also explained what he’s been doing before this time in the real estate sector: Awesome! We’ve been able to create an ideal environment that promotes excellence. Ideal gated community popularly called the estate, which is targeted toward low, middle and high-income earners because we have them in different classes and different environments. We have projects targeted at high-income earners situated in some prime areas like GRA Ikeja and in some parts of Lekki and Ikoyi. We also have some projects targeted toward the middle-income earners in areas like Omole, Ogba, Ibeju-Lekki and some other areas.
We also have some land schemes strategically designed with tailored made payment plans, at zero interest, targetted at low-income earners. We have some of these schemes In Mowe, Agbowa, Atan, Agbara and some other places. We have been able to house thousands of Nigerians and we have made them realise that of not making them become house owners but homeowners over 11 years in the business of the real estate.
Before real estate, he also explained that he had done?I was a Biochemist from the University of Ilorin. I was trained to be wearing laboratory coats but after a while, I developed a passion to provide affordable housing solutions, because I came with a philosophy that says the environment influences the way people think and the way you think become who you are. So if you can create an enabling environment; a gated community that promotes excellence, I think it’s going to influence the way people think. The chances of a child born and raised in Ikoyi to succeed is higher than someone raised in Ajegunle. The difference is the environment. We believe the environment influences the way you think.
He spoke to City People about his real estate company Sterling Homes, and this are his words: “Sterling homes is a real estate development and management firm and we’ve been in operation for about 11 years. We are passionate about providing housing solutions. We’ve been able to do this in different capacities by providing housing solutions for housing schemes in Lagos, Portharcourt, Abuja, Ibadan etc. Also for the land scheme, our target cut across caders; The low income, middle income and high-income earners and we are very passionate about what we do. We are out to demystify the myths that housing is only selected for a few. We want to ensure that every Nigerian have a home and Sterling homes is passionate about this and we have been doing this for about 11 years”.
