Thank you so much.
So, tell us about your life as an author now.
It’s been cool anyway; the feedback has been so great. Though it wasn’t easy putting everything together but I thank God, for how far He has helped us.
Tell us about your journey so far as an actor and what informed you going into book publishing.
I graduated in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan before pursuing studies in History and Strategic Studies at the University of Lagos. After completing my academic journey, I served as a Corps member in Yobe and later chose to redeploy to Lagos State, where I successfully concluded my service year. I would say this diverse educational and service background has enriched my perspective and skills. Studying Theatre Arts at the University of Ibadan fueled my passion for the profession, but what truly shaped my journey were the numerous actors surrounding me. At my father’s house, filmmakers frequently chose it as a backdrop for their movies. Surrounded by this creative environment, I gained hands-on exposure to the world of filmmaking. The blend of academic knowledge and real-world experiences not only deepened my appreciation for Theatre Arts but also ignited a profound interest in acting. These interactions with filmmakers and actors at my father’s place became pivotal, steering my path toward a dynamic and fulfilling exploration of the entertainment industry. I was also inspired by news broadcasters and a deep affection for the journalism profession; I initially aspired to study Mass Communication. However, fate steered me towards Theatre Arts at the University of Ibadan. This twist, though unexpected, turned out to be serendipitous. Studying Theatre Arts not only broadened my perspective on storytelling and communication but also ignited fervor for the entertainment industry. The vibrant and diverse experiences at the University of Ibadan became the stepping stone to my professional journey. Now, as I navigate the dynamic field of entertainment, I appreciate how this unconventional path has enriched my skills, offering a unique blend of creativity and communication that defines my role in this exciting industry. And as for my book, I would say i draw inspiration from my personal experiences and achievements and am confident, that what has worked for me can universally benefit everyone.
How did it work for you to make millions in 6 months and do you think it will work for others?
It is not how I think, it is how I know. It’s a theory that has been put to use and it works. I’ve given the tips to so many and it also worked for them. I was advised to monetize and document it. So, it’s a strategy that works. I will advise people to go and read the book. The book is very cheap.
How were you able to manage all the controversies that ensued online after the book launch?
Honestly, for me, I think it depends on how you look at the whole issue. The people who started the whole problem were coming from the space of hate, beef, and an effort to actually belittle someone. It was God that turned it to glory eventually. Do you know what it takes to do a solo performance, after over 20 years? It takes a lot; the presentation, the dance, the movement, you cry, you laugh etc it’s a lot for me. And we designed a costume that could fly. I’m a director myself so I know what I really want. I needed something that will be comfortable and flexible for my movement on stage. And you can now imagine, after the first performance, they took the video like; can you see the cloth your Author wore for her book launch? Though, many people used to criticize my fashion sense before now, and when they now saw the video online, the whole social media scattered (laughed). The fact is I’m not even bothered anymore. Even the people who control this world don’t bother about their outfits sometimes.
What should people expect from you again?
Certainly, I have plans to undertake more significant projects of cinema standards in the film industry. The goal is to contribute to productions that transcend expectations, delivering a cinematic experience that resonates with audiences. As I continue in the film industry, my focus remains on elevating the quality and scale of my projects.
