Few days after the various inauguration of new government administrations at the Federal and State levels, many concerned Lagosians have started pushing for the need to consider women for key appointments.
Many of them were of the opinion that it’s time to make history by making women hold positions like the Chief of Staff because they are always compassionate.
They see women as a gender with more tendency to have listening ears to the many plights of the masses.
They hold the opinion that women should be given a trial to prove their true worth in governance. The call for more women in governance is fast spreading and there is a need to keep amplifying it more and more until women get the deserved attention.
Below is the summary of the many qualities they said the women folks possess:
“A woman with wide and versatile experience in Governance with the capacity to learn at any time.”
“Women have intellectual property and capacity”
“women are experienced in mediation, investment promotion, looking for new initiatives, grassroots interaction with constituency affiliation, project planning and execution”
“They are team players yet highly submissive and a student of emotional intelligence.
A woman builds, known to turn chaos into orderliness.”
Many of them said that a woman had never been the Chief of Staff in Lagos State. They however called on all and sundry to support the clamour for more women holding key positions in governance.
