The chairman of the Lagos State Branch of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, ESV Gbenga Ismail, FNIVS’s arrangements are in top gear to host its Mandatory Continuous Professional Development (MCPD) programme for the year 2023 themed: “Opportunities and Challenges in Joint Venture and Development Lease”.
According to the schedule of programmes released by the Chairman of the Branch MCPD programme, ESV Godspower Omozusi, Principal Partner, GP Omozusi & Co the MCPD will hold at the NECA Centre, Alausa, Lagos on Wednesday 6th December 2023, wherein Mr. Akintola Oladejo, Chief Executive Officer, Prestigious Homes, will be the Lead Speaker on the theme, while Mr. Ayoolanrewaju Kuyebi, CEO, GMH Luxury Limited will unravel the “Issues Relating to Financing, Sharing Ratio and Premium in Joint Ventures.”
Other renowned, knowledgeable and highly competent real estate professional speakers and facilitators are ESV Okpaleke Francis Chukwuma, a Fellow of the Institution and Managing Partner, Mark Odu & Co. who will speak on “Exploring Options for Conflict Resolution Joint Venture” while Engr. Kayode Olorunfemi, CEO, Caih Resources Limited and ESV Shonibare Ibidapo, Principal Partner, Dapo Shonibare & Co would handle “Strategies for Off plan in Joint Ventures” and “The Legal Aspects of Joint Venture and Development Lease” respectively.

AKINTOLA OLADEJO
Akintola Oladejo is the Chief Executive Officer of Prestigious Homes Limited, a property development firm headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. The company has successfully delivered and completed over 300 residential and commercial housing units, including villas, apartments, and offices.

Akintola is a graduate of Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where he completed the AMDP – Advanced Management Development Program. He also holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Akintola gained diverse experiences working for international companies such as ExxonMobil, Schlumberger, and Guaranty Trust Bank.
He is happily married to Dr Beauty Oladejo, and they are blessed with children.

DAPO SHONIBARE
Dapo Shonbare is a highly qualified professional with an impressive educational background. He obtained his HND in Town Planning and BSc in Estate Management. He completed his primary and secondary education in Lagos and then proceeded to Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State for his town planning degree. For his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), he worked at the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development in Lagos State from 1983-1984. He then went on to study estate management at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Dapo joined Jide Taiwo & Co from 1988 to 1992 before starting his firm, Dapo Shonibare & Co. He later studied law at Lagos State University and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2008. Dapo has been involved in real estate development for 31 years and is a registered member of the Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN). He is married with children.
AYOOLANREWAJU J KUYEBI
Ayoolanrewaju J Kuyebi is an accomplished entrepreneur with a strong presence in the real estate industry. He has over two decades of experience and has been involved in several high-profile projects both locally and internationally. With a background in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering, Ayoolanrewaju has earned multiple accolades and gained a reputation as an expert in the field.
Besides his technical proficiency, Ayoolanrewaju is also a respected member of the board investigating the recent collapse of the 7-storey Banana development. His commitment to ensuring the safety and integrity of real estate structures is unwavering.

ESV FRANCIS C. OKPALEKE, FNIVS, RSV, MCIArb
Francis Okpaleke is an ESV who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Estate Management from Abia State University. He also has a Master’s degree in Project Management (MPM) and another in Estate Management (M.Sc.), both of which were obtained from the University of Lagos. With a wealth of experience in real estate practice, he is the Managing Partner of Mark Odu and Company, a firm of Estate Surveyors and Valuers. Francis is a member of several real estate and ADR bodies both locally and internationally, including the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and the Nigeria Institute of Chartered Arbitrators.
He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and currently chairs its Arbitration and ADR Professional Group. Francis is also a Civil and Commercial Mediator accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Lagos State Multi-Door Courthouse
KAYODE SUNDAY OLORUNFEMI
Kayode Sunday Olorunfemi is a native of Kogi State, but he was born and raised in Ilorin, Kwara State. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ilorin. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Management from the prestigious Aston University in Birmingham, UK, and a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois in Chicago, USA.
Kayode began his career as a Site Engineer with Drausnet Limited, where he built Telecommunication Base Stations throughout Nigeria. After gaining some experience, he moved to the UK to pursue a Master’s degree and worked as a Project Engineer with British Telecoms and Orange Group. He then joined MTN as a Project Specialist before proceeding to the University of Chicago Illinois to study for a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
On completing his studies, Kayode worked as a Project Manager with Storehouse Contractors, an oil and gas construction company based in Atlanta, USA. While at Storehouse, he was the lead Project Engineer for an Early Production Facility (EPF), the first of its kind in Nigeria. This project was supervised by the mighty Weatherford International of the USA.
Kayode later started his private practice as a consultant Project Manager and established CAIH Group, a company that specializes in construction, real estate development and fabrication works. He currently manages construction projects in Nigeria and the USA.
Kayode holds numerous certifications, including being a Certified Project Manager with PMI, a member of COREN, Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), a certified Cost Professional, a certified Green Building Expert, and a member of IET, IEEE, and many others. He is also a faculty member at some universities and a coach to many. Kayode is happily married and blessed with children.
