The wedding which was a blush pink affair took place at the Haven Events Centre and City People Assistant Society Editor, ABIOLA ORISILE (08052160270) and Senior Photographer, JIMMY SANNI were at the event to serve you exclusive gists. DEKAYS EVENT TRANSFORMED THE HALL
Entering the spacious Haven Event penultimate Saturday at few minutes past 10am, one will begin to appreciate the work done by Mojisola Sulaiman, the CEO of Dekays Events and Decoration. This young babe who combines beauty with brain was fully on ground herself to add golden touch to the 3-1 wedding. Though many who had already seen the hash tag were not surprised to see the heaven on earth paradise she created knowing that she is one of those who knows her onions. Entering the hall, you will begin to appreciate the floral ark and the Bonix drinks babes will welcome you with a cold Palmwine while some quickly rushed to take hot coffee with cream. The beautiful ushers were quick to welcome the guests to their seat. Many guests couldn‘t take their eyes off the couple’s corner which was beautifully decorated with cream, white and gold. She also spiced it up with fushia pink and baby pink. The centre flower and chair arrangement still allowed the guests to view the centre stage. Best hands like Sydemininteractive, Heladodelicia, Delishdelight, Josephentekumefilm, Klalaphotography, Ikpstudio, Aronkeecocktail, Mcapele, Laredochops, Bispaq were all part of the memorable wedding Hashtag ‘BB2018″.
THE COUPLE, ABIDEMI AND ADEBIMPE ROCKED 6 EYE CATCHY ATTIRE
One needs not be told that Adebimpe and Abidemi love each other so much as they loved up throughout their wedding. The beautiful couple were fully prepared for their wedding day as they got the best attires from Nigeria and abroad. Abidemi Alli Balogun is the first son of Otunba Dapo Alli Balogun and he is a businessman cum politician. The couple’s appearance was a gold coloured special aso-oke beautifully made by Folake Alli balogun, the CEO of 4LAS Place. She wore it with one of the rare collections of gold embellished with diamond piece from jewellery- affairs while her beautiful headgear was tied by Onigele while her husband also wore same aso-oke with her. Their second appearance for the Nikkai was a Saudi Arabia themed attire. The handsome groom was spotted in a gold coloured Arabian attire while his wife was spotted in white and gold flowing Arabian dress. The attire was specially bought from Saudi Arabia for the wedding Nikkai. The beautiful bride made heads turn again when she stepped out in a peach coloured flowing gown done by Jblings while her husband rocked a luxury suit by Akeem Adeyinka Balogun who runs Kinghakbal. Adebimpe glowed throughout as her facebeat was done by Demi Williams. While many were busy appreciating their last look, the bride and groom stepped out again in their 4th attire which was a royal blue affair. It was a royal blue with long veil dress done by Funke flawless while her white diamond piece kept talking as she moved from table to table. Of course, Abidemi also had a fun filled day, he was spotted in a royal blue expensive ‘babaringa’. The couple didn’t stop at that, Adebimpe proved that she is from a popular royal family of Lagos when she stepped out again in ash and lemon special HOH lace matched with a lemon headgear.
The couple had a swell time at their after party as they danced their hearts out too. Let us fill you in on the amazing love story of the Couple. Though they met on social media many years ago but a decent Princess that Adebimpe is turned down many advances of Abidemi not until they met at friend’s party years later and they started off as friends. They decided to take their relationship further by tying the knot this year. Abidemi had his first degree in Nigeria before he travelled abroad for his masters while Adebimpe is a graduate of Economics in Lagos State University. They have since left for Dubai and America for their honeymoon.

If there is anybody whose joy knows no bounds at their children’s wedding, it is always the parents and for Adebimpe and Abidemi’s wedding, the couple’s fathers joy was double. This was not just because they are good children who made their parents proud in their education but because they also married from prominent Lagos families. The groom’s father, Otunba Dapo Alli Balogun who owns the popular upscale shopping mall beside Mosalasi Jimoh danced like never before while the bride’s father, Alhaji Wasiu Yisuff Akinshemoyin also came with his large guests. They were both in same attire for the event while they exchanged engagement gifts to solemnise the wedding of the two love birds. Sighting both men, it was obvious that they were both happy that their kids married from the popular Royal families of Lagos. Of course Otunba Dapo is from 3 popular Royal families of Lagos. His late father who was Late Balogun of Lagos is from a royal family too. Many of the guests couldn’t take their eyes off Otunba Dapo’s navel length 18carat gold chain which was the same rocked by the groom himself. Permit us to tell you that he loves gold and diamond a lot.
THE COUPLE’S MOTHER, Alhaja Fatimo YISUFF AND ALHAJA AYISAT OLORUNOJE DAZZLED TOO
The couples’ mothers too were not left out of the fun as they dazzled throughout the event. The groom’s mother, Alhaja Aishat Olorunoje nee Kosoko is a top business woman in Ibadan and many of her friends were all in attendance to show her love. So also is Alhaja Adebowale Fatimo Yisuff. She also made sure all her friends were in attendance to show her love. They were spotted in same attire for the Nikkai and reception with choice jewellery.
AREMO SEGUN ONIRU WAS CHAIRMAN OF THE EVENT
Not until now, not many knew that Otunba Dapo Alli-Balogun and Aremo Segun Oniru are very close. This was why he was picked among many to chairman Otunba Balogun’s son‘s wedding . He was one of the early callers at the wedding and he was welcomed by the groom’s father himself. At few minutes past 5pm, he was by the cake stand to advice the couple on the secrets of a successful marriage. In his words, he advised that there is a big difference between marriage and wedding. He stated that the couple must stay together till death and love each other just the way they loved one another from the start. He also advised that they must never allow a third party in their marriage.

Though Olowo-Eko himself couldn’t be at the wedding but he made sure all his beautiful Olooris were in attendance to show love and support to one of their own, Otunba Dapo Alli Balogun. Oloori Kudirat Akiolu was the one who led Oloori Folake and Olori Titilayo to the wedding. They spent many hours at the event. Oba Akiolu’s staff of office was taken there with his white caps Chiefs like Chief Waidi Olalekan Yussuf (Olorogun Agbaje of Lagos), Chief Ismail Oladehinde (Olorogun Ide of Lagos), Chief Lamina Olaseni Sasi (Sasi of Lagos), Chief Hammed Akasoro (Asogbon of Lagos), Chief Rafiu Abayomi Olusi (Egbe of Lagos) and Chief Omogbolahan Durosimi (Suenu of Lagos).
MEET DAPO ALLI BALOGUN’S 5 SUCCESSFUL SIBLINGS
Otunba Dapo Alli Blaogun’s siblings were also at the event. Some flew in from abroad to see their niece walk down the aisle in grand style. Their mother, Alhaja Mutiat Alli Balogun is blessed no doubt, Mama was also in attendance with her friends to see her grandson saying I do to his better half. Mama was spotted in a burgundy attire with Alhaja Araga Sosanya, her 91 years old in-law and mother of Bukola Alli Balogun who is the wife of Otunba Dapo Alli Balogun. They were led by Alhaja Fausat Fashanu who was the one who got the Saudi theme wedding attire from Saudi Arabia. Though Adepeju Isaac is late but his daughter, Motunbade Isaac was at the party. Alhaji Babaloke, Mr. Abioye fondly called Mr. B also flew in from America. Many of Otunba Dapo’s niece and cousins also came out to show love to him. They were led by Alhaji Arif and Folawe Omowarere.
DEINDE HARRISON LED THE MAINLAND CLUB MEMBERS
Do you know that Deinde Harrison, the Ceo of Ebony Casket and Otunba Dapo Alli Blaogun are very close? They were friends right from when they were young boys and still counting. This was why many of their childhood friends of over 30 years came together 5 years ago to form a social club called “Mainland Gold friends”. The president of the club is Deinde Harrison and they all rocked a special aso-oke for the wedding. Deinde Harrison was all out to support his friend of over 30 years and it was not difficult knowing them as they spent big when they stormed the stage to dance.

It was a blush pink affair as 2 of the best fabric merchants in Saudi Eko were on their toes to make sure the best lace was picked as aso-ebi for Otunba Dapo Alli Balogun’s sons wedding. Alhaja Fatimo Opere, the CEO of Opere fabric and her best friend of over 25 years, Alhaja Bola Ogunsanya, the Ceo of Muyak fabrics picked the chord net lace while the blush pink aso-oke was picked by Alhaja Fausat Fashina. Though she is Otunba Dapo Alli Blaogun’s elder sister but she runs a popular aso-oke store on the Island. The blush pink aso-oke was worn by over 2000 guests which added glamour to the wedding.
MANY OBAS OF LAGOS SHOWED LOVE FOR OTUNBA DAPO ALLI BALOGUN
It was an array of many Lagos Obas who came to show love to Otunba Dapo Alli Balogun. Some of the Kings have been his friends even before they became king so they all stormed the event with their beautiful Oloori. One of those sighted was Oba Fatai Ojora, the Ojora of Lagos who danced in with him during the grand reception. So also is Oba Lati Adams fondly called Latrix fashion. He enjoyed the moment with his wife, Oloori Risikat Adams who runs Latrix fashion. So also is Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, the Elegsuhi of Ikate Elegsuhi and his wife, Oloori Sekinat Aramide Elegushi, Oba Oloworo, and High Chief Waheed Eletu-Odibo, High Chief Fatai Olumegbon. Oba Kolawole Sowemimo (Olowode egba) and Oba Abepa of Joga Orile also made it. It was also an array of many Lagos Baales too.

Do you know that on May 13th, the whole of Saudi Eko fondly called Lagoon market was shifted to Lagos Haven Events Centre? This is because many of the major players at the Upscale Shopping Plaza, which has over 200 shops shifted base to the wedding of the Chairman of the Market, Otunba Dapo Alli Balogun to show her love. They were led by the Iyaloja of the market and Iyalode Alhaja Fashina among many others. While some rocked the blush pink attire others rocked the teal colour aso-ebi.
AND K1 MADE GUESTS DANCE WITH HIS OLD SONGS FOR HOURS
The king of Fuji, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal made many guests dance for hours. He was not just an early caller for his friend’s son’s, wedding: he was on band stand for many hours singing many of the old songs which he used to sing praise many of his old fans like Terryyaki, Teddyshine, Roimi Ogedegbe, Atanda Wale Saubana, Bashy Kuti, Lekan Osifeso, Lukman Fowotade, Vivid Imagination and many others. He also sang many powerful songs to praise his friend, Otunba Dapo for hours.
9ICE & DESTINY BOY WERE GUEST ARTISTS OF THE DAY
The wedding was full of glamour as Gongo-Aso crooner 9ice and Destiny Boy were guest artists at the event. 9ice was at the wedding to sing many of his hit tracks like Igbeyawo and others. So also is destiny child, he was there to also perform.
