Oyo College of Education lecturers begin strike

The academic staff of the Oyo State College of Education, Lanlate, today began indefinite strike over unpaid 10 months salaries. This was contained in a communiqué signed by the institution’s Chairman of the caretaker committee, Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union, Dr. Olatunde Ogundiran.

While explaining reason for their action, Ogundiran said they were paid last in March this year and since there was no concrete action by the management after the ultimatum given to it expired, there was no option than to declare strike.
