In July 2021, Lagos Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) was an innovative programme launched by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. SDGs is a youth development scheme aimed at boosting the youth involvement in the attainment of global ambition, the drive towards achieving the 2030 agenda and to create a platform for discussion to enhance the youth active engagement in societal development.
To achieve these set goals, Jumoke Odetola the multi award winning Nollywood actress was recently appointment to work alongside the government and other appointees to spare head this new scheme.
Jumoke Odetola who is a great role model to all her fans and highly known for featuring in and producing movies that have continually helped in instilling and maintaining the values and morals of an African in the youths of today. Jumoke Odetola is also a professional who has in several ways showcased her motive to always educate and impact lives every where she goes. These attributes made her the best fit for the job. Asides from the very visible impact of the music industry on the youth, the movie industry has in so many ways helped the society maintain the morals in the youth. Towards the successful implementation of this initiative, other artists and professionals in various fields were appointed, like Doyin Ogunye, Joshua Alade and Dj Cuppy.
