At the just-held 2023 City People Female Achievers Award, in Lagos, Veronica Kalle Oyogoa was the cynosure of all eyes. She is a beautiful woman who plays big in the Cocktails and Drinks business. She is the CEO of Aarez Deliz and Drinks, a cocktail beverage and finger-licking food catering company. It specialises in providing quality cocktails, mouthwatering finger-licking foods and grills for events. She has a Mobile Bar Service, Bartending Service, Drinks management, Small chops & Grills Catering. She also handles Chinese & Nigerian Cuisine. Its wide and varied experiences provide what it takes to satisfy different event needs. Underlying her work is passion,
professionalism, and quality delivery of premium service to clients always.
She also owns Kellecious, a home fragrance company with a wide product line to enhance the ambience of your space and ensure its irresistible fragrance. She stood out at the awards, where she catered to the APPOEMN President’s guests. She had her bar neatly set up by the side of the hall.
In this chat at the City People Female Achievers’ Awards held at Ikeja, Lagos, she spoke to Titi Akinbo Oshunlalu about her business. Below are excerpts.
Who is Veronica Kelle? “Veronica Kelle Oyogoa is a certified professional Bartender and Mixologist as well as a finger-licking foods expert and baker. I have a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, MSc Marketing as well as several professional certificates in Advertising and International Marketing Communications.
I am a multi-passionate entrepreneur. I have successfully run several businesses over the years. They include:
*Aarez Deliz and Drinks, a cocktail beverage and finger food catering company.
*Kellecious Fragrance a Perfumery and home fragrance company.
Her stand was conspicuous at the City People Female Achievers Awards, what did she have on display there?
“We had Cocktails, Grilled Fish, and Grilled Turkey paired with Yam chips, plantain and sauce.”
How old is Kellecious fragrance?”Kellecious is about 6 years old.”
How old is Aarez Deliz and drinks?”Aarez Deliz and Drinks is over 10 years.”
Any challenges? “Every job has its peculiar challenges. One just has to be on top of his/her game always, so as to be able to deliver excellent products and services always. There would always be challenges, we just have to keep surmounting them. Over time, challenges have become lessons, an opportunity to do better, which is my mantra, to keep striving for excellence hence I am always about personal improvement, we keep learning.”
Any advice to new entrepreneurs? “New entrepreneurs should learn to be resilient and stay focused. It might not be easy at first, but if you keep at it with the right intention and focus, it would all work out well. Passion is profitable and hard work is also profitable. Be open to learning, self-improvement and stay abreast with trends in industry.”
Which event gave her the breakthrough? “I have been blessed and still blessed to have worked for amazing patrons over the years who have constantly engaged our services and referred us. I can’t say a particular job has brought me to the limelight, every job/event does that for me because we always put our best foot forward. My clients are satisfied and can always refer me and vouch for my ability to deliver excellent services.”
Was she one of the awardees at that event? “Noo. Aarez Deliz is here at the City People Female Achievers Award for Funbi Akinyosoye who is being awarded today for her exceptional contribution to the events industry. She is also the President of APPOEMN, a prestigious association of Party Organizers.”
