The newly sworn in Minister of Youths and Sports Sunday Dare has said no government can succeed with developing its youths. He said this at a press briefing he held at the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development immediately after he was sworn in as minister.
While highlighting the areas of mandate, he urged all stakeholders to broaden their horizons in order to achieve part of the president’s agenda of taking 100 million Nigerians out of poverty by thinking outside the box.
While charging all in the ministry to get ready for the work ahead as a team, the minister who also has over 28 years of media experience, thanked the media for the work they have always done as an integral part of the ministry, said it is time to get sports from the back pages to the front pages with positive news. He said he would rely on the media to achieve all he has set out to do.
The minister while also saying he was not unaware of the problems and controversies of the ministry, he said with crucial conversations and maybe confrontations, there will be a headway.
He thanked all those in attendance and urged them to take the message to those absent at the press briefing .
