Her name rings a bell in Nollywood.This stunning beauty is one of the most talented actresses to have come out of Nollywood.For many years she lived in Nigeria before she relocated to the US,where she is doing so well.
A few days ago,Citypeople engaged her about her new life in America.How has it been we asked?
“Its been exciting.It has been challenging.I am still an actor and a health worker here in the United States.I am a certified Nurse Assistant and a DSP (a Direct Support Professional).”
When did she start acting, we asked?
“I started acting in 2003,you know how it is,getting to watch the likes of Ruth Benemesia Opia on TV. It was a dream come through for me when I finally started acting.You know as a new comer it was really tough finding my way, but over time it became better and I got better too in my acting skills and I have been doing it even since even after relocating here in the states. Even though it took me like few years to bounce back to acting because I had a baby .But now I am back fully.”
For how long has she been acting? “Since 2003 till date, that’s like 18yrs.
How easy is it been an actress abroad?” It has not been easy,at all ,because this is a new place and new things are going on that I had to get used to and adjusting to . Leaving people back home and all you know, to start afresh is not easy, but so far so good ,I have found my feet.”
Who are those she rolls with in the industry,abroad? “I have loads of them.Let me name a few like Doris Simeon,Toyin Adewale,Alex Lopez,Oby Okafor
Femi Ogedegbe,Ene Miltex,Joy Egbunu, Florence Onuma,Chidi Obi Lawrence,Benita Nzeribe,Rita Edward,Comedy Jedi,Helen Paul,Bayo”Sango” Adewale, Tonia Nwosu, Funmi Eko…These are the few I can remember.
We asked her to tell us about her growing up years .”I was born in Lagos.I grew up in Olodi-Apapa, Lagos.I had my secondary school at Airforce secondary school, Ikeja and I have a Diploma in Public Relations at Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos. All my life has been in Lagos until my relocation abroad.”
