Though, Esther Aboderin and Abike Jagaban may be based in far away United Kingdom, (UK) , the two celebrity bloggers have been able to build a large number of fans based in Nigeria, City People can authoritatively reveal.
Esther Aboderin lives in Ireland, while Abike Jagaban resides in England. The bitter enmity between them, it was learnt, has spread among their fans. Investigation reveals that, many Nigerian celebrities now follow the two bloggers on their facebook accounts to be abreast of who is doing what in UK, while the dirty linen of whoever is found wanting between the two of them is washed in public via their face book accounts.
Esther Aboderin a.k.a Esabod may have been doing her facebook video chat for a while, but she didn’t become popular until she did a video where she spoke about a Controversial Nigerian blogger and Pharmacist, Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, and her father. It was the video, which shot her to lime-light. The video recorded over 84,171 viewers. Many followers, however, found her English funny and surprisingly, they still stick to her Facebook chat and her usual usage of verbal Hammer to break the head of her enemies.
How did the fight between Abike Jagaban and Esabod start, you may ask? Why are many Nigerians following them? Are their facebook video chats educative? Different stroke for different folks, says an axiom. In a chat with a top Lagos society woman, Mrs. Tokunbo Ashabi, she revealed that she was not a fan of any of the London-based celebrity bloggers, but she loved watching most of their video chats.
Her words, “My sister, you can’t help but laugh when you watch these two women’s videos. Though, they have taken it too far these days as they keep attacking each other ferociously, but we are enjoying it. Their chats provide a comic relief for us. I love watching it and laughing off the tension of my business challenges before taking a nap.”
Another Society woman, who is a top Fabric merchant, revealed that she couldn’t stop watching their video chats. “See, some call it bullying, but let me tell you, do you know most of the celebrities follow them? Yes, they may not want to admit it, but they do follow them. It is from there that we know who is an illegal immigrant in London or in America. It is also from their chats that we know which society babe is married and still having extra-marital affairs.
You can’t help but be hooked to it after watching two episodes. Some of my friends are fans of Esabod, while I am a fan of Abike Jagaban. We discuss it as we discus Nigerian Soap Opera”, she revealed.
If 56 years old Esabod has such a large fan base, then, what led to the hot war between her and a younger Abike Jagaban? Well, let’s fill you in on how the fight started many months ago. Mama Ewe, as Esabod is fondly, called was alleged to have called out Abike and accused her of getting down with some London big wigs. The video was a 10-minute flick, which was watched by millions of viewsers.
Abike, who felt bitter about the callout, decided to have her own Video too, which she entitled: “Dido Lobo”. In her flick, she went raw as she told Esabod that she was not a saint either. She explained in the video that the chilly weather of Britain was one of the reasons many Nigerians living in the country went promiscuous. She used many unprintable words to advise wives, who feel threatened that their husbands are being taken care of by single mothers to adopt many new tactics to lure their husbands back to them.
Though, she was, however, gentle on Esther Aboderin, fondly called “Iya Ewe”. Respect, however, went out of the window when Esabod did a video on two popular celebrities, One, London-based Nigerian fabric merchant and the other a London-based celebrity newspaper publisher, and things went awry. The video generated many controversies and when it was found out that most of the things Esabod reported in the video callout were false, she revealed her source.
That was how `Kasala“ burst, which literally means the cat was let out of the bag and the London-based Magazine publisher’s many audio recordings were aired on Esabod Facebook live chat. Are you wondering how that still contributed to Esabod and Abike Jagaban’s bloging war?
Well, that was the genesis as Abike was the one who came to the rescue of the Magazine publisher. She was the one who took up the challenge of fighting the cause of many of the aggrieved London-based socialites, whom Esabod had allegedly been bulling on many of her face book chats.
At present, Abike is regarded as Mandela by those who had been bullied, blackmailed and slandered on facebook by Esther Tokunbo Aboderin ‘Iya Ewe’ (mother of leaves) and her bullying team ‘Omo Ewe’ (children of leaves). Abike was also a victim, who, however, singlehandedly started the fight against bullying among the Nigerian community on Facebook and others who were believed to have been victimised by Esther Tokunbo Aboderin.
Despite that, the fight started between Abike Jagaban and Esabod, investigation revealed that it has further spread as each combatant now enrols her core loyalists in the blogging war. Notable among those who have joined the fight are: Dorcas Adeyinka, A.K.A Lady Polodee, Naomi Oduntan Byass JP, Dupe Olaoluwa Olatunbosun Babalola, Otunba Olaniyi Apoewa, Yeye Dupsy Olugbodi-Alade, Omowonuola Oyebode, Helen Gbemi Ogundimu, and many others whom Tokunbo had called out on her chats before now.
Abike Jagaban (as she’s popularly called) was believed to have given a voice and courage to those who Tokunbo had attacked on her chats. It was alleged that many have had to relocate, while others have gone off social media to relieve themselves of stress and connect with families and friends.
Abike Jagaban does not have monopoly of strong followership, Esabod too also has the likes of Bukola Jesse (awarded no1 in cursing and swearing) Folashade Olatunji A.K.A Eloquencer Akinosho (both resident in Manchester) and Esther Oneh A.K.A Lafunky Baltimore Latraitor (resident in U.S.A). Esther Oneh, who lives in Maryland was reported to have damned UK law enforcement agencies for not being able to do anything to curb Jagaban’s excesses and allowed her to be playing ‘King Kong’, as an uninvited guest, in company of her girls, Folashade Olatunji and Bukky, at Esabod’s party. Esabod’s clique threatened thunder and fire, while Abike Jagaban also did a video chat where she dared them to come to her party, alleging that many of them are illegal immigrants. She revealed in her video, which she entitled: “Wole Ki O De Ikeja Straight,“ meaning that many of them would be picked up by law enforcement agencies at her party as she had already informed the London authorities that most of them were without legal immigration papers.
Just a few weeks ago, Esabod did a video, where she declared that Abike Jagaban could not enter London. Guess what, Abike did? She took the photograph of her arrival at Heathrow Airport and uploaded it on her facebook account. It generated excitement among Abike Jagaban’s clan. They also dared Esabod to come to London. Though, Esabod went to London, but it was alleged that Abike’s caucus informed the Police that a terrorist had just entered the state and gave Esabod’s hotel room number. That was how Esabod was humiliated as London securitymen came with dogs sniffing all the luggage belonging to Esabod, our source narrated.
Observers, however, expressed surprise as Abike Jagaban is yet to be booked for false information as nothing incriminating was found in Esabod’s luggage and she was not arrested.
It appears Esther Aboderin is currently having issues with some members of her caucus, whom she fondly calls “Omo Ewe“. This was revealed when her latest facebook live chat disowned Folasade Olatunji. Folasade used to be Esabod’s protégé before Esabod (yakayama) her during her facebook live chat. Esabod told her followers to desist from visiting Folasade Olatunji’s wall and instructed them to withdraw whatever support they had been giving to her so called “woman empowerment” facebook program.
Only God knows when the ‘roforofo’ fight would end as Nigerians are also not tired of watching the drama as it unfolds.
