I welcome you great citizens of this great nation – Nigeria to the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day celebration of our beloved country.
I am very glad to witness this year’s Independence Day celebration, I also thank God on your behalf beeing part of the celebration.
Six decades ago, Nigeria gained independence from her colonial masters -the British Empire, the celebration of freedom in 1960 was awesome believing that the new era is one of absolute freedom from dictatorship, corruption, victimization and humiliation.
We appreciate the efforts, remarkable activities and legacies crafted by our heroes. We cannot but mention a few of our great leaders who shouldn’t be forgotten in the struggle for a prosperous and united Nigeria. Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Enahoro, Chief Tafawa Balewa, Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi, Chief Nnamdi Azikwe, Oba Adesoji Aderemi, HRH Amadu Bello, Mrs Ramsom Kuti, Professor Wole Soyinka amongst others. These leaders invested much resources and influence to ensure the dream to make Nigeria independent becomes a reality.
A lot has happened and being survived since the independent, like civil war of 1970s, Boko Haram insurgency, Dana Aircraft Crashed incidence, many things has also been celebrated.
Knowing fully well about our history can help us more for better future and the dream of great Nigeria.
We are celebrating the 60th Independence Anniversary,
A nation of this age should be void of economic decline, corrupt practices, injustice and crime as it is the order of the day in our nation.
It is no more news that two major regions of Nigeria are demanding to be self independent out of Nigeria (South West – Oduduwa Republic and South East- The Republic of Biafra).
We have moved round public places to seek people’s opinion via interviews, in order to know citizen’s concerns and their choice between upholding Nigeria or backing the advocacy of their regional interest.
We had so much more people demanding to be out of Nigeria.
In our survey, we realized that many have no constructive reason for the decision yet all they want is to secede from Nigeria.
Nigeria is a blessed nation and she has a very great destiny and treasure.
We will like to appeal to Nigerians that, we must not take the decision out pressure but come together in unity and build the nation together.
We are not satisfied with the situation of the country and this is why we can’t keep calm, hence we decided to seek public opinion about the decision made by the south western and south eastern Nigerian to secede from Nigeria.
Voice of Hope advocates for ONE NIGERIA, ONE NATION.
We believe by the power of the Almighty God and with our ‘Ten Years Agenda’ we will transform the nation Nigeria into reality of our dreams for better and the best.
I remain your beloved brother and Patriot
