Right now in Nollywood, her name has become the buzzword. Every actor and actress wants to meet her. She has also become the darling of every movie Director & Producer.
This is because Dr. Oby Olebara Uzoukwo has raised the bar in the Movie sector with her new company called Afrigold TV.
A few months back, she gathered all the creme-de-la-creme and stakeholders in the movie industry for a big launch of her company. That was on August 7th 2018 at her impressive office, inside the highbrow ChevyView Estate, near Chevron in Lekki. This US trained female entrepreneur presides over what is known as OBYLICIOUS Empire made up of 4 subsidiaries namely: Afrigold TV, Obylicious Empire Film Academy, Obylicious Empire Production and Obylicious Merchandise.
On September 22, 2018, the graduation ceremony of OBYLICIOUS Empire Film Academy took place at her BUCKINGHAM Court office at Lekki in Lagos. Her goal with the film academy is to offer world class courses spanning every aspect of the entertainment arts ecosystem that are developed and taught by award winning professionals drawn from the Motion Picture industry and the academia, motivated to boost and enhance students creativity and technical expertise through practical, hands on and classroom instruction.
Her message to graduants at the graduation was for a lot of young people to TAKE ACTION. It was the great actor. Arnord Schwarzenegger who said “You can’t climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pockets”.
“Every story you’ve ever connected with, every leader you’ve ever admired, every little thing that you’ve ever accomplished in this life, is the result of taking action. Today, you have a choice. Take Action because your time is limited. So, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinion drawn you out of your career and ultimately Nollywood TAKE ACTION.”
“You must have the nerve to go into unexplored territory. be brave enought to live a life of creativity. The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. It is not the previously known. You have to leave the city of your comfort zone. For you to do this, you should Take Action”.
“You should leave this graduation ceremony with the mentality that you are the chosen one. You should see yourself as the next “POSTER FACE” in that box office movie breaking records.
