In a momentous event heralding a century of excellence, heritage, and camaraderie, the prestigious Yoruba Tennis Club unveiled its official centenary logo over the weekend in Lagos. The unveiling ceremony marks the beginning of a year-long celebration leading up to the Club’s 100th anniversary.

 

 

Founded in 1926, the Yoruba Tennis Club is Nigeria’s oldest indigenous social club and has played a vital role in promoting social cohesion, cultural identity, and leadership within and beyond the Yoruba community.

 

 

The event brought together esteemed members and past leaders of the Club, including Bro. Arc. Olawunmi Agbaje (Past Chairman), Bro. Bolaji Cole (Trustee), Bro. Chief Dr. Abayomi Finnih (Vice Patron & Trustee), Bro. Chief Olakunle Agbebi, SAN (Chairman), Bro. Chief Engr. Olawunmi Gasper, mni (Vice Chairman), Bro. Babaseyi Joseph, SAN (Trustee), and Bro. Dele Martins (Past Chairman) graced the occasion and participated in the ceremonial unveiling.

 

 

Speaking at the event, the Club Chairman, Bro. Chief Olakunle Agbebi, SAN, highlighted the historic significance of the milestone. “This logo encapsulates a hundred years of legacy, integrity, and unity that the Yoruba Tennis Club proudly represents. As we step into our centenary year, we look forward to reflecting on our achievements while embracing the future with renewed commitment.”

 

 

The newly unveiled centenary logo symbolises the Club’s enduring values, its cultural roots, and its vision for future generations. It will feature prominently in all centenary celebrations and related activities over the coming months.

 

 

The Yoruba Tennis Club continues to stand as a beacon of tradition and excellence, fostering unity and leadership across generations.
