+9 Other Inductees
On Saturday, 3rd May 2022, the sons of the ancient Ilishan Remo in Ogun State, under the auspices of The Ilishan Club, (TIC), gathered to induct new members into the prestigious club. The event was held at the Ilishan Club House, opposite the Jesu Loba mansion of the Group Managing Director of Adron Homes and Properties, Aare Adetola Emmanuelking.
The event had a lot of big shots who are natives of Ilishan Remo and some extended parts of the community in attendance, as the event focused on Engineering a new economy in Ogun State.
The Ilishan Club president, Prince Yemi Adefulu spoke about how the club started 60 years ago and how it has grown to become an enviable gathering of men and women of high repute within the state and beyond.
He spoke about the members, the club’s resource base, the focus, and the guiding philosophy of the club.
He appreciated the tireless support of the people of the town and the illustrious TIC members, notable personalities and corporate organisations who participated in the club’s Tree planting project, in recent times, which include, but not limited to:
Mr Kunle Soname, Chairman, Bet9ja organization, Ertena Oil, Meristem Securities Limited, Tanus Publications Limited, Remo Growth & Development Foundation, and Babcock University. Hinting at the club’s proud past and confident future, the president charged the new inductees to continue to pass on the torch for generations unborn.
The Chief Economic Adviser & Commissioner for Finance, Ogun State, Dapo Okubadejo, who is also a key member of the club, reeled out the many achievements of the Ogun State administration in the core target areas of the club, including the Cargo Airport, Industrial Zone in Sagamu, the Agric Processing Zone, Ijebu-Ode/Epe Expressway and the Lagos-Ibadan railway line.
The new inductees include Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, Engr Tolu Oduyale, Mr Abidemi Onajobi, Mr Doyin Famodu, Mr Olukemi Adelaja, Mr Yemi Otelaja, Mr Okulaja Oluwasola Gbenga and Mr Tunde Hassan-Odukale.
Speaking to City People at the event, Aare Adetola Emmanuelking expressed his gratitude for being part of those who have been considered to be part of The Ilishan Club. He stated that he has been away in Paris for a while and he returned to Nigeria a few days back to honour the event. He assured the Executives and other members that his induction will no doubt bring about significant achievement in the club, as he vowed to support the club in the best way possible.
