There are lots of Bakeries in Lagos jostling for prominence, what makes your bread stand out?
What makes our bread different from other bread is because we are producing special bread, while the majority of bakeries in Lagos are doing the regular white bread. We produce both special bread and white bread. Now in our line of special bread, we have sardine bread, coconut bread, we have honey bread. The sardine bread is also grouped into 3 categories, we have the 8-in-1, we have the mini hamper, that is 2-in-1, and the 2-in-1 is in 4 corner shape and also in round shape.
It also goes for coconut bread; the 8-in-1, the coconut bread mini, 4-corner shape and the 2-in-1 round shape. The honey bread is also available in a hamper. We have the 12-in-1, and we have honey bread in a cube. That is 18 piece. For the white bread, we have jumbo bread. For the jumbo bread, its extra-large with a high-quality ingredient, we have the slice, we have the 100 naira and the 50 naira.
Honey bread came out of research, you will agree with me that honey is medicinal. We are using it to settle cases of diabetes. Some people don’t like sugar. We are using the honey to neutralize the effect of sugar in our bread. Our production is very high because we are the only one that manufactures honey bread.
How do you maintain a clean environment as a bakery with so many products?
They say charity begins at home. We are living up to standard as provided by NAFDAC. We don’t produce with our bare hands, with open hair and all. We have a quality control unit that sees to the standard of the products and machines that we use. Like I said earlier, we produce medicinal bread, so we cannot compromise good hygiene.
I have been into this business for over 5 years and I am trained in a bakery.
