Daughter of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, Fatima has welcomed a bouncing baby girl with Jamil Abubakar, her husband.
Journalists understand that Dangote has departed the country for the United States, where Fatima put to bed over the weekend.
The good news comes more than a year after the lovebirds tied the knot in a massively attended wedding ceremony.
In March 2018, Fatima got married to Abubakar, a pilot and the first son of Mohammed Abubakar, former inspector general of police (IGP).
A pre-wedding dinner was first held in Kano state to officially mark the commencement of the traditional rites before the nuptial ceremony climaxed in Lagos at the Eko Hotel and Suites.
The spectacular wedding was attended by those who matter around the world including Bill Gates, entrepreneur and second richest man in the world; Akufo Addo, Ghanaian president; and Mo Ibrahim, Sudanese-British billionaire businessman.
President Muhammadu Buhari; Bukola Saraki, former senate president; Yakubu Dogara, former speaker of the house of representatives, led top politicians to the wedding event.
The Oba of Lagos; Rilwan Akiolu and Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwunsi were among the prominent traditional rulers at the occasion.
There were also a plethora of renowned celebrities and entrepreneurs, internationals, relatives, and friends of both families in attendance.
