There are strong indications that Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, of Kano state, is set to announce the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Amas Chairman of the state council of Emirsinu Ado Bayero, as Chairman of the state council of Emirs.
The Governor who reiterated the wisdom behind the creation of 4 additional Emirates in the state, said that the Chairman of the State Council of Emirs would soon be announced.
A statement signed by Malam Abba Anwar, the chief press secretary to Kano state governor said Ganduje hinted on this at an exclusive live Channels Television programme, State of the Nation, Friday from 7:30 pm to 8 pm.
Ganduje, according to the statement, assured that the new First Class Emirs of Bichi, Karaye, Rano and Gaya, have come to stay, for the overall socio-economic development of the state.
He said the law gives a governor prerogative right to appoint who becomes the Chairman of the State Council of Emirs, as the central council for the 5 first-class Emirs.
He affirmed that the newly created Emirate Councils have come to stay.
