On the 27th November, 2020 a popular real estate player, who is one of the best in the sector celebrated his birthday although in a low-key. His name is Hon. Bankole Alex Adedayo Kehinde, the brain behind a popular real estate company, KAB Constructions Limited.
Let’s also tell you that a popular Yoruba actor, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly called Ogogo, paid him a surprise birthday visit in his Ajah home. He didn’t just come, he actually chanted and sang praise him. The moment also witnessed the display of traditional performers which got the celebrant thrilled and emotional.
His brand ambassadors Mr. and Mrs. Niyi Johnson also sent their gifts and sent a music band to give the celebrant a surprise birthday serenade even before the arrival of Ogogo.
The celebrant spoke to City People how he feels about his birthday and also spoke on many other things. Below are some of the things he said.
City People asked him how he feels the morning he added another year and people’s wishes were trooping in. How did that make him feel?
“I feel great. I thank God because looking back, it’s been the grace of God. Each time I add another year, all I do is to give God the glory for everything He’s done and still doing for me. He’s been a wonderful God. It’s by His grace one is adding to one’s life. Whenever I see another day I thank God, let alone another year.
This year is different from other years because, in the previous years, you always like to celebrate your birthday on a prayer mountain, but you’ve had a lot of surprises this morning from different people. How does that make you feel sir?
People have not been able to succeed in holding me down to a surprise birthday because I would always be on the mountain praying, but I actually did go this year as well but I came back early this morning. I wasn’t expecting to see people. In fact, I was caught unaware. I’m so happy that the likes of Ogogo (Alhaji Taiwo Hassan), top celebrities and eminent people came to celebrate with me. We thank God we have life and that’s why people can celebrate with you. And you also see what my brand ambassadors, Mr and Mrs Johnson did for me; I’m so grateful”.
Apart from the wishes of eminent Nigerians, we also saw the special birthday wishes Ooni of Ife released on your birthday. Can you tell us why you are so dear to him?
“He is my father, and I have always been telling people that, after God Almighty, my mother, he’s next. God will always send you an angel while coming to this world, Ooni is my angel. I call him my small God. He’s a man that I haven’t seen his type. He’s such a selfless person. And it’s not only for me, but he’s also like that to others. He’s a lover of good things. He wants people to do well. You can not be around him and not do well. He will propel you to do well. He’s a father to me. He’s invested so much in me. I remember a day to his birthday he gave me a property that is worth hundreds of million naira. When people are actually receiving a gift on their birthday, he’s giving out. He’s my angel!
Alot of people call him a politician, a real estate guru, and a philanthropist. How does he see himself?
I see myself as Kehinde Alex Bankole and a ‘bricklayer’! I just want God to give me the grace to help people. Because when I see people with so many challenges, it gives me problems. I wish everybody could be fine and good.
On the day he celebrated his birthday, HIM Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ooni of Ife sent his good wishes to Hon. Bankole Alex Kehinde, whom he calls his ‘son’. The Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi Enitan Ojaja II, has extolled the virtues of Prince Kehinde Alex Bankole, describing him as son in whom he’s well pleased.
Ojaja II made this known via his birthday message to KAB as signed by his Director of Media, Public Affairs Com. Moses Olafare and made available to newsmen today in Ife, Osun State.
The Arole Oduduwa said “Your growth from a humble background to success through phases of endeavors, makes me exalt the name of the Almighty Olodumare, especially for the man you have become.
“As a young grassroot politician, your productive capabilities got you appointed by the government of your state as pioneer member, Kwara State Assembly Service Commission where you pragmatically offered meritorious services in the interest of your people “your creativity among other enviable human qualities, is the basis upon which you established the fastest-growing KAB Construction Company, and Kabiyesi is always proud that a son under his tutelage is doing so magnificently wonderful” he added.
