How I Got Into Acting In 2002 – Fast Rising Actor, SHOLA JEREMIAH

by Damilare Salami
SHOLA JEREMIAH,

Can you take us through into your background, how the journey into the movie industry started for you?

I was born and bought up in Oshodi Isolo local government. I joined the movie industry in 2002 through late Mrs Funmi Martins, I also trained under Yinka Quadri and Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo) in Odunfa Caucus, and that was where I started my movie career. I shot my first movie in 2010/2011 titled (Moyin Oluwa) directed by Adebayo Tijani managed by Afeez Eniola. I graduated from Odunfa in 2009, and that was the first time, I met Princess, she came to the event. She came because of her friend and coursemate Bola Agunbiade.

How many movies have you featured in?

I have featured in a lot of movies especially the ones produced by my boss such as Omo Olomo, Baba Darijiwon and lots of others.

How come you are still not fully into acting?

It is because I have an official work that I am doing, so I have been juggling the two. Though some years back I was fully into it, but not now. All the same, am working towards being in the industry fully.

Do you want to quit your job?

Yes, very soon, I will do that.

Why do you want to do that?

I was advised by my Pastors and family to get on my feet again because I lost everything after the marriage broke up. But I thank God, everything is coming up again. Acting is one thing I love to do so I can boldly say I have the full strength to go back into it now. So after I release my next movie, I will be going back into movie production fully.

What roles do you act in movies?

Then I always work behind the Camera as continuity and assistant director, but if there’s any small role that nobody had been selected to play, I used to take it.
