Prince BISI OLATILO Revealed!
Next year by His grace, Prince Bisi Olatilo will turn 70. This is a huge mile stone in his life and God’s willing he is expected to throw a big classy party in Lagos. Popularly called Original December boy, he will be celebrating his 69th birthday precisely on the 20th of December this year. Many of his high networth friends have mastered his birthdays to the extent that even if he decides to keep it low for his 69th, you can bet, they will still gather at his house.
He has them in handful and when you talk about the who is who in the society, many of them are always well represented at his party. He is a man of many parts and many love to always pay him back for his goodwill.
The man who has passed through many hurdles in life has every reason to thank God, no wonder at every minute, he always wants to talk about the goodness of God in his life. This was what happened few days back when his beautiful wife, Folashade Olatilo hosted many celebrities to an afternoon of fun at his 65th birthday which took place on Friday, September 30 at their house in Lagos. Prince Bisi granted us a very short interview where he eulogised his wife and explained, how his wife has been able to sail through 65 years and what he has experienced as well.
When asked how he feels as his wife turns 65.? “Well everybody is here, that we have friends that we have made over the years with us, it shows that we mean a lot to everybody and it is a working day and people have decided to factor us into their crowded schedule, big men in their different rights, so I feel really honoured and loved. “How does it feel being married to her? Being married to an amazing woman like Shade Olatilo, well, we are looking forward to 41 years in this exercise and I will say, if I am bad to this woman, God wouldn’t forgive me, keep that, let that be the very first thing to put across. She left everything for my sake. so that is why if I have the opportunity, I go the extra mile for her..You know, just to do my own little bit, I cannot even thank God enough for what she has meant in my life and continues to mean in my life. That is to sum it up”.
In his lovely message to his wife, he says, well she is listening, she should continue to keep praying for us, keep loving me like she did when we met each other. I keep saying she courted me because I was a toast of every body at a time on radio in 1975, Radio OYO in Ibadan. I mean it was like, how can one person be speaking all the languages? And then, television was not popular in those days, so it was radio, after having heard about me in many places, being listening to the programme that I present, there was this wazobia programme then, so it was something that has not been aired before so she got swept off her feet and she couldn’t hide it when she saw me, so I had little or no job to do afterwards so she finished the job herself. My wife prays for us. At anytime, she is a prayerful woman, all those good things she is requesting for us and Biscon actually, a great Biscon, that is her greatest wish and desire”.
While he was also conducting the birthday programme, he looked back and reminisced on how God has been good to him all year long. First, he mentioned, that God has blessed him with successful children who told him when he was not sure whether to throw a party for his wife’s 65th birthday or not that they will plan it and take care of everything that will be involved. He thanked God also that as he will be turning 70 next year, and for God to have spared his life after experiencing and surviving a terrible COVID 19 attack, that he is indeed grateful. He mentioned that it was his wife, who stood strong and tall beside and behind him with her continuous prayers to make sure he was healed. He narrated the terrible experience while also pointing out that his house where they stay, had at two different times burnt down, but how they were able to build the house back is still a mystery to him as well. He later thanked everyone who came to celebrate his wife on her joyous occasion and thereafter , he said he was grateful to God that his path with that of Clam Pastor, Wole Oladiyun crossed. He said he was one of the men of God who stood firm, in prayers and worship to God for him to survive COVID 19. He praised pastor Wole Oladiyun for his special prayers over him and his family. He later enjoined his many friends at the birthday party to also be a member of the church.
