Chief Kabir Adeyinka Adewoye is popularly known as Kabiyesi Owurolawa through a T.V. Breakfast series on L.T.V. 8. So many don’t know he currently married to two women. His women were spotted at his 60th birthday and there they shared their experiences of marriage. Kabiyesi Owurolawa has not been so lucky with women. His first marriage crashed in 1981 after two children.
Then, he found love again with Oloori Serifat Abolaji Adewoye and they have been happily married for more than 3 decades. They are blessed with lovely children. Oloori Serifat is a business tycoon who is so supportive of her husband. Chief (Mrs) Yetunde Omobolajoko Adewoye is another woman that has got Kabiyesi Owurolawa’s heart. She is the Iyalaje of Agunfoye planks and building materials and also the Sobaloju of Owurolawa. She is specialized in sales of different planks and building materials. She has been with Chief Kabir Adewoye for a couple of years.
In an interview with City People’s Society Reporter, TITILOPE OGUNLEYE, the duo shared their love story, how they met their husband and what has kept them with him for years.
Can we meet you ma?
I am Mrs. Serifat Abolaji Adewoye, Oloori 1 of Kabiyesi Owurolawa.
For how long have you been married to Kabiyesi Owurolawa?
We have been married for over thirty (30) years.
Whao, how did you meet Kabiyesi?
We met through one his friend that stays around my street.
What attracted you to him when you met him?
He was not a media person when we met, he was a Photo Journalist at National Theatre and I just fell in love with him. He is a very persistent person because when we met, I was not willing to date him, I was playing hard to get but his persistence made me marry him.
At first I was wondering what he was after but eventually his persistency made me fall in love with him.
How many children do you have for him?
I have two children for him.
Having been with him for over thirty, how can you describe his personality?
Kabiyesi is a very nice person and he is always willing to help. He does not ignore or communize people. No matter how small the person is, Kabiyesi would honour him or her. He get angry at times but his anger does not know how to keep malice or grudges and he is very generous. He is generous to a fault I must say.
Since he became a T.V Presenter and a Media Personnel, what are the challenges that he has come across?
Hmnn! Several challenges o. How much more can we say but we thank God for his faithfulness. A still remember an incident that happened two years ago when he was about celebrating his 58th birthday. He was involved in an accident a day to his birthday. He was the only person whose leg got broken among everyone in the bus. We just thank God for sparring his life till this day and making him clock 60 in good health.
What do you do for a living?
I am a business woman.
You are not his only wife, so how did you feel when he married the second wife?
I was not unhappy. Because of the way God created me. I accepted her with the whole of my heart since she came in.
For how long has he married the second wife’s 3 to 4 years? What is the relationship between you and the younger wife?
Cordial,… Kabiyesi knows how to organize his home so we don’t have any issue at all. We don’t live under the same roof and that has made it easier to understand each other from a far.

I am Chief (Mrs) Yetunde Omobolajoko Adewoye Iyalaje of Agunfoye planks and building material and Sobolaju Owurolawa, Oloori Kabiyesi Owurolawa.
How did you meet your husband Kabiyesi Owurolawa?
That is a wonderful story, we met somehow, somewhere.
How long have you been married to him?
Hnmm! 10 to 12 years.
How has the relationship been with Kabiyesi?
Great.
You are not his first wife, so is the relationship between you and the first wife?
It is cordial because our husband knows how to organize his home. So we don’t have any problem.
For how long have you been the Sobaloju of Kabiyesi Owurolawa?
3 years.
How have you been able to manage the Chieftaincy titles and your home?
It is not easy but I’m coping because they are two different things.
Most of the times, your husband is busy at work and he is not always around, how do you cope with that?
You have to endure it, what can we do? We will be home managing affairs tell he comes back.
How do you deal with his female fans and admirers?
They are the ones making the job interesting, so we can’t do anything about it. Majority of the time, if Kabiyeesi do not go to meet them, they will come to meet him.
Have you hard any children for him?
God will do it.
What attracted him to you?
He is a kind man and a confidant. He listens to people a lot. He is a solution provider. Whenever any issue arise, he will always try his possible best to provide solution. Even with his busy schedule, he still pays attention to his home and he is romantic.
What are those things that you detest about Kabiyesi?
Absolutely nothing.
What are the wishes for him on his birthday?
I pray that God will grant him long life.
I don’t mind if he clocks 150 years.
What are those thing you don’t like about his job?
His job attracts so much attention from women and I don’t like it but what can we do.
The female fans consist of about 80% of his fan base so we can’t do without them. You look so beautiful, what is the secret?
It is God o, you should know. I don’t do any major exercise but my job is a full dose of exercise on it own.
