BIGDOE, whose real name is Ibrahim Idris, has mastered the art of African uniqueness through his genre of music and every song produced is different and has a distinctive sound.
He has a great studio experimentation, with awesome concept lyrics ideas. Every BIGDOE songs are distinctive and original. While his songs appeals to the street expectation and peculiar sound, his music have great bass foundation, tremendous dynamics while some of his most interesting hits belies in subtle and quieter messages.
BIGDOE was born in Lagos on September 13th, 1990. He is the first son of his parents who are from Ogun state, He attended Command Secondary School Ipaja and later moved abroad to study at the prestigious College of North and East London.
How did music start for Big Doe? Citypeople asked.
“I loved music from a very young age started rapping at 18 and only just started to take it seriously like 2-3 years ago”, he stated
“Right now Afrobeat is taking all over the globe, like said earlier Rap music from United Kingdom and United states also motivates me a lot, so i can say my style consist of Afrobeat with U.K and American flavour “, he added.
As has been characteristic about him over the period, he has functioned as a repository of hit songs.
One thing that stands BIGDOE out is his creativity and originality—playing with rhythm, experimenting with instrumentation, blending genres and sounds to create something new. It’s a living process as Big Doe builds upon the creations of his peers, making something in his own style.
