On Tuesday, May 1st, 2018, Olatunde Alex-Oni, son of popular Lagos Caterer, Otunba Tinuke Alex-Oni tied the nuptial knot with his long-time  sweetheart, Ayodeji Are, the pretty daughter of Lagos businessman, Alhaji Gbolahan Are, in grand style. The classy wedding, which was a silver-and-purple affair, took place at All Seasons Plaza Agidingbi, Ikeja and it paraded many quality Lagos socialites of note  City People’s Assistant Society Editor, ABIOLA ORISILE, was at the classy event to serve you the gist.

BEST HANDED HANDLE THE EVENT

If there is anything that would linger on in the minds of many, who made the wedding of Ayodeji and Olatunde hash tag AYOTUNDE2018, it is the planning and coordination of the event. Of course, many were not surprised to see how the wedding naturally flowed with many exciting moments because of who the mother of the groom is. Mrs Tinuke Oni is one of the biggest food vendors in Nigeria. Her brand PIESCES  is one of the biggest catering brands, which has catered for big weddings in Nigeria. Right from a few minutes past noon when the beautiful, mothers of the couple stepped into the hall, one could see the unbridled Joy  on their faces. They were full of thanks, seeing the number of guests, who made the event for them. The Groom’s mother, Mrs Tinuke Alex Oni, who looked pretty in a gold colour hand-cut special Lace matched with a burgundy headgear was full of smiles as she was ushered in by the Alagas during the engagement. There was no doubt that one of the happiest people on earth during their children wedding were the mothers as they were literally on top of the world that their children have done them proud. The bride’s mum, Alhaja, didn’t only dance, she was filled with joy all through the event. People couldn’t take their eyes off them as they moved from table to table.

Not many could take their eyes off Alhaji Gbolahan Are, the bride’s father as he danced in with his wife. Many couldn’t help, but watch him with admiration at few minutes past 3pm when he danced in during the reception. We can never forget to tell you about the Father and daughter moment where he judiciously made use of the dance floor.  Though the groom’s father is late, but there is no doubt that he was a very good man during his life time. This reflected in the number of people who honoured him at his son‘s wedding despite being dead. He was said to be a good husband to his wife and a great father to his children,

They were all over each other at their wedding and one needs not be told that Olatunde has found his missing ribs in Ayodeji. The bride Ayodeji dazzled many in turquoise fully embellished special aso-oke, while her handsome hubby looked  good in the same colour flowing agbada for their engagement. The beautiful couple dazzled guests again at few minutes past 3pm when they danced into the hall for their grand reception. Ebony pretty Ayodeji looked  breath-taking in a short long tail White dress matched with a luxury silver shoes while the husband was in white flowing “agabda‘. They thrilled many when they took to the dance floor with their amazing dancing steps. Many couldn’t take their eyes off the couple when they took to the cake stand for the cutting of cake as they fed each and sealed it with a kiss.

ALHAJI I.G, MUSILIU SMITH PRESIDES AT THE WEDDING

Respected Retired Police Inspector General, Alhaji MusiLiu Smith was the chairman of the event. Not many knew he is related to Mrs Alex Oni. He was one of the early callers and he spent many hours at the event before he left. “Alhaji Smith“ as he is fondly called looked ageless as he coordinated the cutting of cake and gave his words of advice.

OBA RILWAN AKIOLU’S GRAND ENTRY

Oba Rilwan Akiolu, the Olowo Eko himself made the event for Mrs Tinuke Alex Oni. He drove into the hall a few minutes past 4pm in a black Mercedes S50 with special plate number “Olowo Eko“. Don’t forget that  the Pisces’ boss is the official food vendor for Oba Rilwan Akinolu.  Though, his 3 beautiful Olooris, Oloori Kudirat, Oloori Folake and Oloori Titi were already in attendance with Oba Akiolu’s white cap chiefs headed by Oloye Ajayi Bembe, Obanikoro of Lagos, Olorogun Agbaje Chief Waidi Yussuf, Ashogbon of Lagos, Chief Akasoro Ahmed, Suenu of Lagos, Gbolahan Durosimi, Etti of Lagos Chief Tajudeen Durosimi Etti as they all left at few minutes past 5pm.

SIR K KAMORU‘S WIFE TURNS 60

Do you know that Mrs Tinuke Alex Oni and Sir Kamoru Osinusi are related? Of course, we can confirm this to you. This was why Sir K, the younger brother of the late Prince Bode Osinusi made the event. He was in attendance with his beautiful wife, Duro. Permit us to tell you that Duro turned 60 last Thursday, 3rd of May, 2018, and she intends to celebrate it with a few friends.

There were many pointers to it that the popular Are family of “Isale gangan“ and the Alex-Oni family of Obanikoro and Eletu-odibo didn’t spare cost to make sure their kids had the biggest wedding in town. The spacious Hall “All season is worth many millions of naira, while the beautiful floral decoration was also worth several hundreds of thousands naira. It was done by the young and talented “..eventsredefining. What about the baker, who produced the wedding cake? It is not the regular cake you see everywhere. It was a royal butterfly-designed cake. Many caterers were also at the event to serve sumptuous meals. There were also enough small chops, Barbeque, dessert and exotic wine to make many spend the whole night there. We can also never forget to gist you about the bride’s collection of gold and diamond. The Ares and Onis showed their high taste for details in what the bride and groom adorned.   Music was also served by one and only Faith band, which kept many guests dancing for hours.

MEET THE BUNNYBEES BELLAS WHO DAZZLED IN BLACK AND CORAL

If there was anybody who deserved an accolade, it is no other than the  BUNNY BEES fabrics, Mrs BALOGUN. Her Bellas were on point as they dazzled in the black lace matched with coral headgears. They were cynosure of all eyes as they danced into the well decorated hall behind the couple. Some of them were Toyin Kesington, Olamide Fanimokun, Dupe Onaiyekan, Layo Ketiku, Nifemi Ogunnaike, Temi Suley, Aisha Akinola to mention a few.
