It is no longer news that land in Ogun State is fast appreciating in value with more people buying their own land and becoming landlords.

That’s why more and more real estate investors have moved to Ogun State to position themselves there. This week, we bring to you 10 locations in Ogun State where Real Estate is booming

One of the most expensive and lucrative locations for real estate investment in Ogun State right now is Arepo. The location is called Magodo extention. Right now, a plot of land is sold for between 60 and 70 million at good locations in the estate. Arepo is very close to Lagos and it has a cool, serene residential environment for celebrities. A lot of real estate players have moved down there for real estate investment.

Arepo is the first location that comes to mind when you think of moving out of Lagos.

Sagamu Interchange, is another trending location that is getting a lot of attention from real estate developers. The likes of Adron Homes have moved to the axis, while properties on that corridors is getting appreciated by the day. The appreciation was as a result of the newly completed Expressway from Lagos to Ibadan. Currently Lagos is almost saturated. The price of land is becoming unaffordable for low and middle income earners and Sagamu is one of the few places that is getting attention right now.

Magboro: Magboro is a fast-growing town in Ogun State, located along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. This area has seen significant development in recent years, with modern housing estates, shopping malls, and schools springing up. The cost of real estate in Magboro is quite high, with property prices ranging from ¦ 25 million to ¦ 200 million, depending on the type and size of the property.

Shimawa: Shimawa is another rapidly developing town in Ogun State, located along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. This area is known for its serene environment and excellent infrastructure, with good road networks, schools, hospitals, and shopping centers. Abeokuta GRA: Abeokuta GRA is a high-end residential area in the heart of Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State. This area is known for its luxurious homes, modern infrastructure, and excellent security. The cost of real estate in Abeokuta GRA is quite high, with properties ranging from ¦ 30 million to ¦ 500 million.

Sagamu, has suddenly become another location where real estate players are moving their investments to. In the last few years, more than 10 real estate firms have move down there. And they are doing well in terms of sales and acceptance. Sagamu is connected to the Lagos/Ijebu Ode express way and this is a huge factor why players in the real estate sector want to invest there. Another reason is that, it’s highly populated and there are several people who want to invest.

Makogi, is another location where real estate investors are trooping. Makogi is 10 minutes drive from Alausa (secretariat). It shares boundary with Magboro. Majogi is behind Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries camp. A plot of land is still relatively cheap; with 5 to 10 million, you can get a plot of land there.

Ifo: This place needs no introduction as it is a very popular destination for real estate marketers in Ogun State. Ifo is a Local Government Area in Ogun State, Nigeria. It’s headquarters is in the town of Ifo. It has an area of 521 km² and a population of 524,837 at the 2006 census.Ifo is constantly developing which has increased the value of the land being sold there. It is a place where you can buy a land, build and move in immediately.

Owode: Obafemi Owode, is a Local Government Area in Ogun State, Nigeria. It is made up of about 1,204 towns and villages.Its headquarters is in the town of Owode. It has an area of 1,410 km² and a population of 228,851 at the 2006 census.This place is very developed and most times when visiting the town you cannot differentiate it from Lagos.

Atan: Atan Ota is a village located in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area which is one of the 19 Local Government Areas of Ogun State in South-West Nigeria. It is about 45 minutes drive from Sango and a fast developing place. There have been several reports of land grabbing cases in Atan so be very sure that you are buying from the right source by carrying out investigations with the aid of a lawyer for any land you wish to buy

Igbesa: Is a town in Ota Local Government which is host to Gateway Polytechnic. Since the opening of the state funded polytechnic Igbesa has witnessed astronomical leaps in development few years after the school was launched. Land for sale in igbesa has also increased in value.Here you can buy land for commercial purposes such as building a hostel for students and earning good money from it

Alapoti:Alapoti is a town in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State. It is one of the fastest developing places in Ogun State with people buying land everyday. Most people I know have a plot or two there.
