Celebrity coaches Yemi Alade and Darey’s talents displayed a spectacular mix of musical performances and glamorous fashion at the second round of the Battles.

Four talents from each of the teams took turns to battle hard on stage in pairs with various soul-moving performances during the Episode 12, for the four slots at the Live Shows.

It was team Yemi Alade that opened the show, first with Vanilla and Kitay, and after a highly energetic and funky performance of Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars, Kitay was picked to proceed to the Liveshows.

Toeseen and Anu later took the stage and delivered a gripping, soulful and highly emotional rendition of Rihanna’s Stay following which Anu was surprisingly picked as the winner by Yemi Alade.

Jeremiah and Esther were the first duo to perform from team Darey but they were not quite impressive with their delivery of Teni’s Uyo Meyo. Esther was declared winner.

However, Darey’s second pair of talents, Rachel and Kpee made up for the drop with an arguably the best performance of the episode.

Their superb, melodious and highly entertaining performance of DBanj’s Oliver Twist got all judges visibly impressed and made it quite difficult for the versatile Darey to decide before he finally settled for Kpee as winner.

Kpee, Kitay, Anu and Esther, all from Teams Darey and Yemi Alade will now join the other talents who already qualified for the Liveshows from teams Waje and Falz. The lucky two to emerge from Viewers votes would also join at the live shows.

They are Dapo, Naomi Mac, Elizabeth Inioluwa and whoever was saved by viewers vote for the first round of the Battles.

Viewers will also save only one of Toeseen, Rachel, Vanilla and Jeremiah through the Viewers Votes by voting once daily on thevoiceNigeria.com as the Battles stage ended on the Voice Nigeria Season 3.

Episode 13 billed for the weekend will feature the long awaited Live Shows on The Voice Nigeria stage as the world class show gradually grinds to the grand finale.

Official main show sponsor, First Bank also did not disappoint as viewers and fans continue to win prizes by answering questions during the First Bank moments on the bank’s social media handles.

The premier bank in Nigeria’s Group Head of Marketing and Communication, Folake Ani-Mumunney restated its commitment to promoting and supporting creative talents and industry in Nigeria, to boost youth development, entertainment and economy.
