•Says All Politicians Should Change Their Ways Or Else…
Evangelist Hezekiah Oladeji is the CAC General Evangelist Worldwide. He recently spoke to City People Magazine Publisher, SEYE KEHINDE about what God asked him to tell Pres. Buhari and other leaders across Nigeria on what is expected from them. Below are excerpts.
CAC Church is all over the world and it is well-known. What makes it different from other churches?
A lot. CAC is different from other churches. The difference between CAC and other churches is long. We might now have money. We might not have houses. We might not be as rich as others. We might not have clothes. But we have the Grace of God. We have the backing of our fathers. God is still in this church. That is why many people run away because they say they can’t cope with discipline and decency that we have in CAC. You can’t walk with God if you are not disciplined. They can’t cope with all the rules like don’t wear earrings, don’t wear revealing clothes, don’t wear trousers, don’t bleach and so on. The truth is that in CAC we have not dumped all the rules that our great grandfathers left with us. We have not departed from the laws God grace our fathers. That is why it looks as if we are not modern. No. We are modern, but we have kept a lot of the pimples guiding us as a church.
We have made sure we do the right thing. We are a decent church. We don’t give room for nonsense. We don’t want to go back to those horrible days of worshipping idols that we have left. These are the kind of things spoiling the church today. It spoils marriage. So whenever they talk about the word of God that is pure and remains sacrosanct, in terms of solid prayers, in terms of getting God to answer prayers, in terms of getting feedbacks from God, in terms of hearing God’s voice, it is in CAC you will get all that. How can we continue to remain the great church we are if we don’t keep to Gods rules. That is why CAC is different. We might not have money. We might not have anything but God is still with us. God is still here, Gods power is still here.
Since you became General Evangelist of CAC what have you done that you can point at, to move this church forward?
I alone can’t do anything. Its just effort. I have not done anything. I have only been acting as God says. Its Gods work, not my work. God knows I pray every day to him to come out and manifest himself in peoples lives. God has not gone past us yet. Once he decides to work past us nobody will cover their face. Very soon he will walk past us and we would see him.
Each time you reflect on the CAC Church what makes you happy the most about the church?
Its only one thing. That God is here. That God is still with us here. I always thank God for the fact that he is still here with us in CAC. We are grateful to him. He is here. He is alive. Majemu Ijo yi si mbe laye. Whenever I pray, I usually pray in the name of God and my fathers in the lord in CAC. CAC is not just another church. CAC is Ijo ti a fi eje o do aguntan raa. Ijo ti o ba esu jaa to se gbogbo esu loro, ti o si se ogun apadi lose. Bi esu ba gbe ko le jon wa mole. Ole dan wa wo. Ko le bori lai lai. Ni to ri ko bori awon baba nla wa.
What is the significance of Baba Aposle Babalola to CAC?
I am on the same line as Apostle Babalola. I am a Woli & Ajihinrere. There are some other fathers in the Lord that God has used also like Baba Orekoya, Baba wa Aare Akoko Ijoyi, Baba wa oba Akinyele (the Olubadan of Ibadan). He is the Aare Akoko ni inu Ijo CAC. He is hot. But what made Apostle Babalola popular is because of Isoji. He was a woli. God gave him awesome powers. You can’t easily forget his work here in Nigeria and across Africa, as a woli and Ajinhinrere.
There are so many of such Babas. Very soon, I will be hosting a big meeting to be titled Week In Remembrance of our Fathers In The Lord. It will showcase all that these our fathers have contributed. in their time, these men were so powerful that whenever they walk past, evil men run away and go into hiding. Some will be confessing. Its the Holy Spirit at work.
You told me a few minutes ago that you want to begin to do Revival in Lagos soon. Tell us about it?
The Holy Spirit told me to start an Isoji programme, a Revival. Yes it will start soon. As Woli and Ajinhinrere Agba in this Ijo CAC, we would soon be having a big meeting, a revival that will be massive in this Lagos in 2020. God told me about it a long time ago. I have been preparing for it. God says it will bring about renewed strength and cleanse the city of Lagos of evil spirit. God will now bring out his hidden powers. And the truth will prevail.
How do you see all the problems & challenges facing Nigeria today?
There is no serious problem, or crisis happening its all about us not being serious. We are all not doing the right thing. We all keep doing the wrong thing. We pay attention to all the wrong things. It is because we are not doing what God has asked us to do. If we were with God and before him, we would not go through all we are going through. Let’s all go back to God. Let we men and women go back to God to beg for forgiveness. Family members should go back. Our leaders should go back. We don’t have the fear of God. So how would we live a good life, why won’t there be crisis upon crisis we take life too serious. We pay attention to worldly things, material things. Let’s go back to God. Lets go before him and beg for forgiveness. We have all abandoned God. We are busy chasing Money and Position. We forget that the 2 come from God. Those who died yesterday, can they make use of the post they have? Can they spend all the money they’ve made? Don’t let’s forget that we would sleep one day and not wake up again. Its 6 feet.
What is your advice to those leading us in Nigeria, from the President to Governors to Ministers, National Assembly members and those in the states?
To all the men of God in Nigeria. To all the women of God. To our President. To our Governors. To our Ministers and Lawmakers across Nigeria, be reminded that it is God who owns Nigeria. To all politicians, note that the position you occupy today is temporary, it is just for a few years. You will then leave and another person will take over. Awolowo spent his allotted time. Obasanjo also spent his time. Where is Bola Ige today? Some didn’t die they also stepped aside after their tenure. What are we going to say about you when you leave? What are we going to say after Pres. Buhari leave? Are we going to say he was a good leader or a bad leader? What do all these politicians want us to say after they leave the office. You have only a few days left. And when we are 2020. Another election is coming in 2023. That is 2 years from now. What are we going to say about you Mr Governor, Mr Minister, Local Government Chairman? On this Earth, what would we say about you? In Heaven, what are we going to say and the days are going back. Time is flying. What would we say about you?
My advice to the President, Vice President, Ministers, Lawmakers, Commissioners in the States and all politicians is to govern well. There is no more time. Time is running out. Each day you wake up, know that your number of days in office has been reduced by one day that you will leave the office. You leave what will the whole world be saying about you. Will they see you as a good person or a bad person? That is it. All our leaders should know that one day, one day, they will have to leave the office. What will people say about you? You won’t be able to go back and do justice to what you didn’t do. So, any good you have to do, you had better do it now. and if what you want to do evil, go ahead and do it now. Once it is Time Up you won’t be able to go back and correct any mistakes made. Think now! Think now! Now is the time to think about the Good things that you can do that will be written down.
What did God tell you about Nigeria?
God says I should tell everyone that this country is going to turn around for good, sooner than you expect. This country will become good soon. That is why I say if some people come in to turn things around what will they be saying about you. If people meet you on the way or in the plane what will you tell people you have done. The way we are going some of our leaders will be covering their faces in shame even their kids won’t be able to come. Their wives would go into hiding out of shame and disgrace. That is what God told me, that he is going to turn things around soon. God says he is coming to turn things around in Nigeria by himself. God created Nigeria. He is the one who directs the affairs here. When it is time to says he will come and flush out all those who are not doing things his way. He will turn Nigeria around for good. God is not happy that after he blessed Nigeria with a lot of precious minerals and resources they are not being used for the good of the people. He is unhappy despite all the resources at our disposal we are using them for our selfish reasons. God is not happy with the level of corruption, stealing, violence, killings, Rape and all the bad and despicable things that are going on. Instead of Good news, we keep hearing bad news. God says he will soon bring up some people to take over and make Nigeria great. For a very long time, Goliath kept troubling Israel, God brought up David to deal with him. I know that sooner than later, the David of Nigeria will rise up and set us free.
How do you see the year 2020? What do you predict that will happen in 2020?
All I know is that God will manifest itself and evil people won’t go without being punished for all their evil deed. I pray for Nigeria a lot and God keeps telling me the same thing that I should not worry, he will manifest himself soon. We Nigerians are the ones who should go back to him. So that our turn around can be total. Let’s all go back to the Truth, nothing but the truth. We should stop behaving like someone who is insane. We behave like someone who is sick, in this country. The kind of things our leaders do is regrettable. How can some people steal billions, yet other people are hungry beside you. This is bad behaviour. God will help us.
Really a lot of Christian leaders went on a walk to protest the killings of Christians all over Nigeria. What do you see to this?
Yes. That will make our leaders think. All the Christian leaders know that all they are doing, they are doing it for God. And they know and believe that the man on behalf of who they are doing their work will soon take absolute charge of things. This is an example of why all our leaders from the President to Governors, Ministers and Co should do something very quickly about the deplorable state of affairs in Nigeria. They should not waste time. They should begin to sanitise this country. They should do the right thing. How can they come to church for service and they will bring armed policemen with guns. It is not good. All our leaders can’t sleep any longer with their eyes closed. No. They will close one and open the other. They have no rest of mind. They are scared. When they are going on the road now you will see them with a battalion of Police & Soldiers to guard them. It is not a good thing. This security issue has gone out of hand. All these politicians are the ones breeding all these militants, kidnappers, thugs, area boys. They work for you, the politicians. So politicians should make sure they sort out this insecurity issue. All our men of power know what I am talking about. They are the ones funding these Boys, they use them as thugs to secure them and their people. There is no powerful man in Nigeria that does not know where the shoe pinches. So, I am calling on all the powerful men in Nigeria to look at where these insecurity is coming from and stop it. Our leaders should face where all this crisis is coming from. They know where it is coming from. They know what to do. Let them do it. Let them do the needful. Let them stop all these nonsense going on in the country. This country is bigger than anybody. Government is bigger than any individual, kidnapper, armed robber or any kingpin unless they decide not to act. If the government decides to arrest an armed robber they will do so in 48 hours. They have the structure and processes to do that. God will destroy all these evil people in this country, especially all those selfish people who indulge in ritual killings and so on. Boko Haram can’t be bigger than Government. Kidnappers can’t be stronger than the Government. May God help us make Nigeria a better place to live in. Amen.
