Hon. Saheed Mosadoluwa, popularly known as Mr. Ibile, is one of the prominent property developers in the Ibeju-Lekki axis of Lagos. He is the Managing Director and CEO of Harmony Gardens & Estate Development Limited. He is known for his bold approach and has faced numerous challenges in the real estate sector since he officially began his career in 2020.
He made a significant transition from the Aviation industry to the real estate market amid the unprecedented disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic. While his colleagues in aviation were oblivious to his personal investments over nearly 18 years, Mr. Mosadoluwa quietly amassed substantial land holdings across Lagos State with a clear vision for the future.
As the MD/CEO of Royal Crystal Airways, Mr. Ibile’s foresight and determination motivated him to diversify into real estate. From 2020 until now, he has acquired a considerable amount of land and developed estates. Notable projects include HarmonyVilles Estate on Eleko Beach Road, Granville by Harmony Gardens, Crestview Estate, and Crestview by Harmony Gardens.
A few months ago, he spoke about the challenges posed by land grabbers in the real estate sector. He acknowledged the presence of hardened criminals who exploit the system with impunity. He asserted that victims like himself must confront these elements directly, instilling fear in them and safeguarding their properties from unlawful encroachment.
As he makes strides in the real estate industry, his journey exemplifies resilience, vision, and unwavering determination in the face of adversity. Clients of Harmony Gardens are excited about Mr. Ibile’s trajectory and the company’s new developments, as he promised during the launch of Granville by Harmony.
But since the beginning of March this year, a lot of allegations have been levelled against him, from different people. One of it is the case involving the Awujale.
In addressing the issue of land dispute with the Awujale, Ibile clarified that the monarch expressed interest in a portion of the disputed Eyin Osa land. He readily offered the land since those who sold it to him confirmed they had given the monarch 8 hectares in the same area. He stated, “No matter how the case may be, the Kabiyesi Awujale is the owner of Saheed Ibile and whatever belongs to Saheed.”
Ibile emphasized his respect for the revered figure, denouncing the misuse of the Awujale’s name by his adversaries in the ongoing disputes, frivolous petitions, and media narratives. “It’s even funny that anyone would think I’d be dragging land with a man of such stature. The Awujale is my father and role model, a symbol of customary authority who represents the Yoruba land,” Ibile remarked.
He has entrusted the resolution of these issues to respected community leaders, specifically the Oloja of Epe, Oba Kamoru Animashaun, and HRH OBA Olusegun Awokoya. He stated that they should resolve matters related to the 94 hectares of his company’s investment in the Eyin Osa resettlement land, as they are recognized as the consenting authorities in this matter. Amidst the accusations, Ibile has called for transparent investigation.
He said he purchased the land from a prominent family in the Ibeju axis, and a few years later, another group emerged claiming rights to the same land. To clarify the situation, Mosadoluwa publicly stated that he legally purchased the land under the terms of acquisition and emphasized that neither he nor his company unlawfully possessed any property.
According to him, the deed of assignment, co-signed by the family, confirms that the land belongs to the Oko Orisan, Onirisan, and Obadimeji Oshodi families, all of whom received payment when the property was sold.
Founded in 2019 and fully operational by 2020, Harmony Gardens & Estate Development Limited has grown into a major player in the real estate industry. The company, which aims to provide housing for a substantial population, has developed a portfolio that includes 7 estates, such as HarmonyVille, Granville, CrestView, Oju-Alaro Estates, and Lekki Aviation Town.
