Nigerian media personality and author, Toke Makinwa has called out stand-up comedian, Bovi, over a joke made about her buttocks cosmetic surgery.
Makinwa took to her Instagram handle to criticise the inappropriateness of cracking a joke about her doctor’s incompetence during the comedian’s comedy show ‘Bovi: Man on Fire’.
“Never done this before but there’s always a first. Dear @officialbovi First off, I actually don’t even think you are funny, more like annoying,” she wrote in the now deleted post.
“Making a joke about my ass was really cute but one thing my dear friend, my doctor is a Gee, he got it right the first time. Just so you know cos That’s the st that pissed me the fk off!!!!! P.S, You ain’t shit. Signed. TM.”
The on-air-personality had earlier shared on social media how she resorted to plastic surgery because she ‘hated her body’.
“This year I stopped complaining and changed things. I hated my body, I fixed it, (best decision ever). I hated hanging around certain people who made me feel small; I dropped them, I learnt to forgive (I still struggle but it’s a journey), I learnt to be at peace,” she wrote.
Despite Makinwa’s outrage, Bovi is yet to make a public response.
