I, HRM, Oba Alayeluwa Ayodele Adeshoga Adegbogun Akinnadeju, The Odundun Asodedero I, The Aladeokun of Alade-Idanre,_ stand before you today with a heart full of humility and profound gratitude for the sacred trust you have reposed in me as your king. It is with overwhelming joy and reverence that I accept the confirmation of my ascension as the new king of our beloved Alade-Idanre Kingdom in Ondo State — a land rich in history, culture, and resilience.
This moment is not mine alone. It belongs to every son and daughter of Alade-Idanre who has laboured, prayed, and believed in the continuity of our ancestral heritage. To the Akinnadeju Ruling House, I extend my deepest appreciation for your unwavering support, confidence, and solidarity throughout this journey. Your unity and loyalty have been the bedrock upon which this crown rests.
To the entire Alade-Idanre community, both at home and in the diaspora, I say thank you for your love, loyalty, and enduring commitment to our heritage. Your voices, prayers, and sacrifices have carried us to this historic day.
To our esteemed elders, I bow in respect for the wisdom, counsel, and guidance you have generously offered throughout this kingship process. Your experience has been our compass and your prayers our shield.
To our youth — the vibrant heartbeat of Alade-Idanre — I say this with conviction: I believe in you. You are not just the leaders of tomorrow; you are the partners of today. Together, we will harness your energy, creativity, and innovation to build a kingdom that reflects your aspirations and secures your future.
To those who may still be harbouring grievances or concerns about the selection process, I speak to you as one family. I understand that emotions run deep when it comes to tradition and succession. But let us remember that we are all bound by the same blood, the same land, and the same destiny. Our unity is our greatest strength. I implore you to sheath your sword and embrace peace. Let us put aside our differences and work together toward a brighter, more prosperous Alade-Idanre. The throne belongs to all of us, and our progress depends on our togetherness.
I am committed to being a king for all — without favouritism, without division. My door will always be open to listen, to understand, and to act. Let us focus on the bigger picture: building a prosperous Alade-Idanre where every child has access to quality education, where every family enjoys good health, where our roads connect our people, and where opportunities abound for all.
As I take the helm of leadership, I pledge that my reign, by God’s grace, will be anchored on the foundation of TRUTH, LOVE, UNITY, AND PROGRESS. Our community has always been known for its warmth, hospitality, and togetherness, and I will work tirelessly to restore and strengthen that spirit in every home and every street of Alade-Idanre. I will promote peace, foster sustainable growth, and ensure the welfare and dignity of every son and daughter of Alade-Idanre and the entire Idanre Kingdom. I will be accessible, transparent, and accountable in all my dealings, and I will work tirelessly to address the pressing needs of our people.
I will actively engage with all stakeholders — our traditional leaders, government officials, private investors, and development partners — to bring meaningful development projects to our community. By God’s grace, my reign will usher in a new era of growth and opportunity, attracting reputable national and international bodies and organisations to invest in our kingdom. I am committed to prioritising education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic empowerment as the pillars of development. We will also promote agriculture, tourism, and cultural development to showcase the rich heritage, natural beauty, and artistic legacy of Alade-Idanre to the world.
To everyone who has stood with me, prayed for me, and identified with me throughout this journey — I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support means the world to me. Let us walk together in love, unity, and peace as we build a brighter future for Alade-Idanre. Let us celebrate our diversity and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood that unite us as one people under one crown.
A peaceful Alade-Idanre is not the Aladeokun’s gain alone. It is our collective inheritance. It is the legacy we owe our children. It is the only path by which this town will rise to the greatness destined for it.

Together, we shall work to make Alade-Idanre a model community in Ondo State, Nigeria, and beyond — a place where tradition meets progress, and where every citizen thrives with pride and dignity.
The journey to this throne was not walked alone. On behalf of the Akinnadeju Ruling House, I wish to express our sincere appreciation to:
– His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa…..and the entire State Executive Council, for upholding fairness, justice, and respect for our customs and traditions throughout this process. We are deeply grateful for your leadership and for ensuring that the rule of law and cultural integrity prevailed.
I also want to especially appreciate His Excellency for the approval of the dual carriage highway from Akure to Idanre — a project that represents hope, connectivity, and economic renewal for our people. We humbly appeal to His Excellency to come over to this Macedonia, that is, Idanre Land, and extend further development to us. For over 70 years, we have remained steadfastly progressive and loyal to the ideals of growth and democracy, yet we still have next to nothing to show for it in terms of critical infrastructure and institutional development.
I beg you, Sir, Your Excellency, we need a higher institution in Idanre Land. An institution of higher learning will not only empower our youth but also transform Idanre into an educational hub that will benefit the entire state and beyond. We trust in your vision and believe that you will not forget us in this regard.
I respectfully appeal to His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, and the Honourable Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs to kindly expedite the process leading to the selection and appointment of the Owa of Idanre, as was graciously done in my own case.
This will ensure the traditional leadership circle is complete and pave the way for greater unity, peace, and accelerated development within Idanre Kingdom.
– The Alade Traditional Council and the Kingmakers, for your courage, patience, and fidelity to our customs. Your dedication to preserving the sanctity of our tradition has ensured a process rooted in honour and legitimacy.
– All the Royal Fathers and Obas in Ondo State, who offered counsel, prayers, and solidarity. Your brotherhood has strengthened the fabric of traditional leadership across our state.
– The High Chiefs, Baales, Iyalojas, and all title holders of Alade, for standing firm for stability, order, and continuity. Your roles have been vital in maintaining peace and cultural identity.
– Our brothers and sisters from other ruling houses, we thank you for the spirit of sportsmanship and understanding you have shown. The throne is rotational, and we remain one indivisible family. May this spirit of unity continue to define us.
– The youths of Alade, who remained largely peaceful, hopeful, and respectful throughout this process. You are the strength, the future, and the pride of this kingdom.
– Our religious leaders — Pastors, Imams, and Traditionalists, who soaked this entire process in prayers and intercession. Your spiritual covering has been invaluable.
– Every son and daughter of Alade, near and far, who called, who fasted, who donated, who advised, and who believed in this vision. You are the pillars upon which this victory stands.
Royal Proclamation
By the authority vested in me, and in full consultation with the High Chiefs of Idanre Kingdom, together with my brother and Royal counterpart, His Royal Majesty, the Awosunye of Atosin, I do hereby proclaim the restoration and relocation of Alade Market to its original and ancestral site.
This directive is issued following prior consultations and due encouragement to all concerned parties to undertake the requisite traditional rites and ceremonies for the peaceful return of the market to its rightful place, as was agreed before the transition of our revered father, the Paramount King of Idanre Kingdom, His Late Imperial Majesty, Owa Aroloye Arubiefin IV.
Let this proclamation be observed and respected by all sons and daughters of Idanre Kingdom.
May God Almighty bless ALADE and the entire Idanre Kingdom. May He bless and preserve the AKINNADEJU RULING HOUSE for generations to come.
