As part of 27th Anniversary
On November 1st, 2023, the team from CityPeople Magazine, led by its Publisher, Dr Seye Kehinde, paid a visit to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Rita Adigha, who serves as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at the Anthony Police Division. The visit was in honour of the 27th Anniversary of CityPeople Magazine and aimed to acknowledge the outstanding service of the police division and offer support in its little way.
CityPeople Magazine is well known for its dedication to community engagement, and during the visit, the team extended a helping hand to CSP Rita, inquiring about any potential needs of her police division. CSP Rita warmly welcomed the magazine’s team and appreciated their offer, assuring them that she would consider it further and respond accordingly.
During the conversation, CSP Rita Adigha shed light on some of the challenges Anthony Police Division was facing, including how to continue to reduce criminal activity in the area. She also spoke about the escalating cost of fuel, which is affecting operations and resulting in a reduction in daytime patrols to conserve fuel for night-time operations.
CSP Rita Adigha pledged to continue to support her immediate community and ensure the safety and security of all residents within her jurisdiction. This visit served as a poignant demonstration of the strong partnership between the police force and organizations like CityPeople Magazine, coming together to address the community’s needs and promote public safety.
