In an interview with City People PRECIOUS POMAA, he talked about his new single and why he thinks it will be accepted by Nigerians.
How do you feel about today?
I feel great, though it is a normal day just like every other but because I am launching my new song, it is great.
What inspired you to feature an artist outside Nigeria?
Oh well, because she is an artist and she is my friend, a Disc Jockey like me plus, she is good at what she does. Actually our synergy goes together; we played about this at first before we got serious and came out with something real.
Are you taking this to the next level?
Definitely taking it to the next level. This year I promise a video, this is the first video I am dropping. I need my fans to look out for more good things coming up.
How sure are you that the sound you brought is really going to be accepted by Nigerians?
Yeah it is really going to be accepted because it is a Shaku Shaku kind of sound but ours is more classy, it is the same thing that Nigerians like but only that we gave another different track, that’s the French music. Most of the lyrics were done in French and Yoruba. She sang in Yoruba and she does not know the meaning and for the first time I sang too which I am not used to singing and people are not used to hearing disc jockeys sing.
Is this to say you wrote this song on your own?
Yeah, I did write it on my own but the producers also wrote part of it.
Explain your sound to our readers who have not heard your music before?
My sound!!! Wow, it is unique, Afro Centrik, banging (laughs) I don’t know about the remaining two.
Where do you think this is going to take you in five years?
Well, it is going to take us to another level, entertainment wise, because the beat in the song was just too good.
