Estate Grammar School, Ilupeju Alumni Begin 40th Founder’s Day Ceremony With Thanksgiving Service

 Alumni members of Estate Grammar School in Ilupeju, Lagos also known as EGSOSA is celebrating the 40th Founder’s Day of their beloved Alma Mater. The ceremony is indeed a big one which will be held for a week, starting from Sunday 17th of September, 2023 to Saturday 23rd of September, 2023.

The ceremony began on a bright note as a special Thanksgiving Service was held on Sunday 17th of September, 2023 at Salem Evangelical Church of Christ located in Ilupeju Obanikoro, Lagos.

The President of old students’ association, Mr Oluwashina Gbenjo expressed his profound gratitude to God through praise and worship for sparing the life of the school and members since inception till date. He also eulogised the former Executive Governor of Lagos state, late Alhaji Lateef Jakande who out of his ingenious foresight established the school on September 5,1983.

During the sermon marking the occasion, Reverend Apostolic Mother Atinuke Olaosegba in her words of exhortation, rejoiced with the old students for deeming it fit to come before Almighty God to say thank you lord, as much as deciding to give back to their alma mater which has moulded their lives to become somebody.

The day’s event featured a special prayer session done by the leader of the church, Special Apostle Abraham Babatunde Odele JP where the old students’ and students undergoing their secondary school education were blessed.

The Service was well attended and very glamorous as the subsequent programmes set aside for the anniversary promises to be eventful and worthwhile.
