Labake Oyindamola Fakayode, is a lady, contesting the Akinyele Constituency Seat 1 in Oyo House of Assembly , on the platform of New Nigeriia People’s Party , NNPP. She has called for support of every eligible voter in her constituency to vote for her to enable her realise her ambition.
Labake, who appears to be always happy whenever supporters hail her with her Oyin ni o slogan, told members of Afikarun Forimu Club, an affiliate of the Centra Council of Ibadan Indigene, who played hosts to her at Akingbile that promotion of her constiyuency interest would be her top priority if she won the election.
Labake said being a woman, she knew what it takes to champion the cause of her people. She told members of the club: “I came to solicit your support because i knew that each of you has, at least a wife and children who are already of voting age who you could rally to support and vote for me.”
The lady, who promised effective, responsive and capable representation in the House of Assembly, assured that she would always put people’s interests on the front burner if given an opportunity to prove mettle. Labake stressed that her constituents benefit if a woman was supported to win the House of Assembly seat. pleading that voters should embrace law of inclusivity anfd vote a woman this time round.m. Shew said that only men had been had been representing the constituency since the advent of the present democratic dispensation.
She therefore, called on Men, Women and Youths to give a woman a chance this time round. The candidate who has a master’s degree in education management, promised to, at all time, be sponsoring Bills and moving motioms that would bring dividdends of democracy to the people. “*I will influence the state government to make available in my constituency pottable water through solar-powered boreholes. She promised to procure free exercise and note books for primary school pupils, adding thatuntarred roads would be regularly graded to make them more motorabloe.
Labake said that Senator Rabiu Kwakwaso, the presidential candidadate of her party, was the best man for the job, calling on people to vote for him.
