Princess Adekemi Adewunmi is a longstanding member of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).She is from Ekiti State.
The big news is that this hard working and Influential female politician has joined the 2022 Ekiti Governorship race.
In a release she issued in October, she informed all her followers, party members, friends and well wishers of her intention to contest.
“Dear family, friends & Members, kindly allow me to inform you of my new development. After deep thoughts and prayers, with direction from God to do what is right and just, I have collected form and joined the Gubernatorial race in Ekiti State 2022.”
“I have informed my family and friends, National, State and Local Government leaders and gotten their blessings. It is hard work and I need you all my sisters and brothers to keep me in your prayers and support me in everyway possible.”
“Men can not dominate us forever in key places, we need all bold and strong women to come out and put their faith and trust in God, then the sky is the limit. The suffering is too much, the masses are dying slowly of hunger, we have nothing but political business men in office.
We need to put our house in order and hear the cry of our children.
Enough is Enough. It is time to stand for Justice and not Injustice. Impunity, imposition and injustice must stop . Let integrity and fear of God play out.”
“I will not promise heaven and earth just to gain favour by getting into office, but promise to deal with every situation met on ground and listen to the voices and crying of the people. So help me God.
The Lord is my structure in Ekiti State and the good Lord will touch the hearts of the people, open their eyes to see beyond their nose, that the grass is green.”
“Don’t sell your future for rice, gari and money. Build a solid foundation for our children to build on.”
“Walk with me on this journey to freedom. I have never held any political office since I joined PDP in 1998, but I have done more than some office holders can demonstrate for humanity and I am willing to do much more, if given the opportunity.
I have been in every committee you can think of in PDP and played important roles at the State and National level, I have learnt from the best and not from bullies and political businessmen, that amount to no good.”
“I beg all the political businessmen to please- LET MY PEOPLE GO.
Thank you my darling sisters and brothers for your understanding.”
“I am Number 10 on the Gubernatorial list in Ekiti State.
I pray for more people to come out.The field is big enough to accommodate us all. May the best man win.

“There’s a difference between Interest and Commitment. When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstance permit. When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results. Commitment unlocks the doors of imagination, allows vision, and gives us the “right stuff” to turn our dreams into reality.”I think this is a contest.
Let all interested candidates go to the field and try their luck. NO OFFENCE.”
Interestingly, she has come under attack for joining the race. She is being victimised.
“Already in Efon Alaaye, Efon Local Government, Ekiti State, where I come from, I have received threat calls from different people. They have made a big mistake, a very big one, because I don’t take kindly to threats.I take threats very personal.I don’t look for trouble, but when trouble comes my way, best believe, I don’t run. One of their threats on the phone says, this is a do or die for affair.Well I won’t die in Jesus name, not me, it is not my portion. But as they have wished for themselves, so it shall be for them all. They are nothing but political businessmen.”
“I got my form to contest and not to fight or bully anyone, which is their own way of doing things. When a man sees politics as a job, it is a big problem and headache to the Nation and the world , such people should be eradicated completely from leading the country forward at every level.”
“Politics is to be chosen by the people, for the people and we become the servants of the people, of course, they always want to be tin God. Very arrogant set of people.”
” In Jesus Mighty name, nothing evil will happen to me.In Jesus Mighty name, return to sender.”
“It is high time women and men of integrity come out in full force and let us flush out the bad eggs and hoodlums in our society, that believes controlling the Elites in our society is their birth right. To hell with them all.
Can you imagine all the insults, all because I just picked up a form ooooo , we have not done screening yet oooo or primaries, they are already having heart failure, wahala dey oooo.
That only proves one thing and a point: I am an institution and a force to reckon with.Period. So, help me.”My slogan is-
“LET MY PEOPLE GO. Enough is Enough. LET MY PEOPLE GO. “ FREEDOM, FREEDOM, FREEDOM.
Women are doing extremely very well around the world, why not in Nigeria. Give women a chance.Women, Women, Women, in all parties, where are you all, come out in millions please, get forms, it is time to put our house in order.
I am not a trouble maker. I don’t look for trouble, but when trouble comes my way, I don’t run. They brought this upon themselves, by asking their men to be threatening me on phone. They started all this, by threatening me, I don’t take kindly to threats.”
