Right now, the capital city of Abeokuta in Ogun State is witnessing a new experience in the Hospitality business, with the new 5-star hotel called Conference Hotel, Abeokuta. It is part of the Conference Hotels chain across Ogun State.
The impressive 9 floor hotel, built on a large expanse of land is located in a prime location, along Presidential Boulevard, in Abeokuta. It is a serene environment, built on a beautiful landscape. The huge edifice itself is breathtaking and it is well laid out. One of the things that makes the hotel beautiful is the fact that the finishing is superb & the service is 2nd to none. Over the last few months, the hotel has hosted a lot of A Class events, from Weddings, Birthdays, and other social ceremonies.
City People visited Conference Hotel, Abeokuta a few days ago and saw how busy the hotel is, as guests kept checking in as others were checking out after having an exciting stay, as they told City People. It has about 200 beautiful rooms and 2 Presidential suites. A Standard room goes for N45,000, whilst the Presidential suite goes for N200,000 circa. It has an Olympic size swinmming pool, Banquet hall that sits about 1,000, a Terrace bar, Lounges among several other facilities.
The new Conference Hotels, Abeokuta is part of the existing chain of hotels made up of 2 hotels with one in Ijebu-Ode and the other in Sagamu.
The hotel group is owned by former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel who has been in the hospitality business for close to 20 years. Quite commendable is the fact that, he hardly interferes in the day-to-day running of the hotel which has very experienced Management & Staff. Whenever he visits the hotel, he is treated like a Guest and accorded the same treatment like other guests. As a rule, he pays for all services rendered to him and gets issued a receipt.
Lets tell you more about this new Abeokuta hotel complex. The formal opening took place on Friday 6th of December, 2019. Vice President Osinbajo was the Special Guest of Honour who came along with the Ogun Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Lets tell you how the 9 floor hotel is structured. It has a Basement, which has a very spacious Underground Lounge, which is like a dancehall, and night club. It is already fitted with neon lights, Speakers, etc. That is where many parties and shows are held now in Abeokuta. The basement has backup offices, laundry, storage facilities.
The Ground Floor is where the very spacious Reception hall is. It has a Ballroom and a Shop. It has the popular Emerald Restaurant and outside is the swimming pool. On the 1st floor is the Skyview Pavillion.
On the 2nd floor is the Roof Terrace Bar, Meeting Rooms, and Deluxe Rooms. On the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors are deluxe rooms. On the 6th floor is the Executive Floor. The floor has 2 presidential suites.
There is also a Penthouse that houses a Chinese Restaurant.
What stands Conference Hotel, Abeokuta out is the many facilities it has like a standard Gymnasium, Sauna & Spa, Unisex Salon, Olympic size Swimming Pool, fitted with a Swimming Pool Bar, Skyview Pavilion, Banquet Hall, and it has about 8 meeting rooms in different sizes, roof terrace bar.
Each wing, housing the rooms have name tags like Alpha Suite, Sapphire Suites, Omega Suites, & Ruby Suites.
All the rooms are 5-star rooms. So spacious is the land space of the hotel that it has a capacity to park 300 cars within the complex. The hotel has 4 Elevators in all-2 panoramics, one service lift and another Lift servicing the Roof Terrace exclusively. The beautiful Panoramic Lifts give guests a scenic view of the city.
All the floors and corridors are fully airconditioned. All the floors are No Smoking, and there are CCTVS everywhere. There are also Fire Extinguishers and Sprinklers on each floor.

Security in the hotel is superb. There are over 100 CCTV cameras to secure the hotel. The whole operation is computerised. City People gathered about 200 well-trained staff run the hotel.
