The continued rivalry and competition between top pop acts Wizkid and Davido isn’t going to fade anytime soon. Both acts have worked and fought so hard to stay ahead of each other; from music release to Record Label set up, international deals, world tours, concerts and so on. This time around, they would battle each other at the City People Music Awards as the competition gets tougher between them.
In what appears to be more of an expectation than a coincidence, the two Sony Label Artistes have always kept it brewing hot between themselves with their music and this has earned them a ground to battle in same categories at the forthcoming award. Wizkid and Davido would battle it out with at least 3 other acts in the same category for the following awards; Male Music Artiste of the Year, Record Label Of The Year and Popular Song Of The Year (with Davido’s “IF” and Wizkid’s “Daddy Yo” in contention).
With an additional nomination for Wizkid for “Best International Music Cover Of The Year on the song “Sweat” and Davido getting a plus one on the Artist With The Most Digital Sale Of The Year, both artistes would slug it out in 3 categories and hope to add a win from their latter mentioned nomination.
