When it comes to medical practice the world over, Professor Oladapo Ashiru has proven his mettle. Perhaps, he is one of the highly rated in the country, his exploits and achievements in medicine speak volume for him. He has introduced great ideas and innovations that have been beneficial to human health.
Professor Ashiru, alongside his beautiful wife, Idowu established Mart-Life Detox Clinic 5 years ago and it has become a safe haven for people as they visit it en masse to flush out toxic waste from their systems. Professor Ashiru’s slim-fit figure is a testimony that flushing out of toxic waste from the body system is a necessity for healthy living.
At the 65th birthday of Mrs. Idowu Ashiru and 5th year anniversary of Mart-Life detox clinic, City People’s Publisher, SEYE KEHINDE, and Reporter, FEMI FABUNMI, spoke with the Professor Oladapo Ashiru and he bares it all on matters bothering on toxins and healthy living. Excerpts
Share with us what your experience has been in the last five years of running this SPA?
It has been very rewarding and exposing. It is an eye opener I must confess.We have helped a lot of people living with one ailment or the other to prolong their lives. Some persons have got high blood pressure and high sugar level . Some have infertility issues; we have helped to assist them to either get pregnant or maintain the pregnancy if they already are. All what I have mentioned so far boils down to one thing and that is toxins.
Tell us about toxins?
There are toxins in what we eat, the way we eat and in the environment causing us to be sick and making some people have difficulty in getting pregnant.Sometimes, they result into cancer and you know that is dangerous for our body system. Sometimes we get them from our fish, Mercury and led are examples of toxins gotten from fishes.We can also get toxins in the environment from oil and gas industries who release gaseous chemical to the air.
When you kicked off 5 years ago, what necessitated this move?
Wellness, we traveled to Austra for lectures and seminars and we just replicated what is obtainable there ,here in the country. Mart Life is a special preventive clinic, we added some things to it that made this clinic unique.
Tell us about Mart Life clinic?
It is a wellness club, a SPA, a beauty clinic beyond that it is a place where you can come to detoxify, regenerate ,rejuvenate and also get anti ageing treatment.
For five years you been running this place, how has patronage been for you?
We have been busy regularly, which means Nigerians know the value of things like this. Many people who have difficulty getting pregnant before going through the ultimate like IGF OR PGD by the time they get here and go through the therapy they always see results because by the time they get back to their various IGF centres they always get remedy.
What other testimonies would you like to share with us?
Several. We have helped a lot of people with infertility. In the conference, we had last year in India we treated about 111 patients who were trying to get pregnant, about 60 of them came here to detoxify .We have also helped a lot of people to lose weight.
Tell us the secret of your trim figure?
That’s because I detoxify regularly, when you remove toxins from your body you will look good and healthy. Like I said toxins come from the food we eat and sometimes the air we breathe in. People who worked plastic , agricultural and oil and gas industries are mostly exposed to high level or amount of toxins. Also the insecticide we spray in our homes too contains toxins that are not good for the body.
If toxins are supposed to be negative, how come they make people fat?
They make people fat because they attract water to the body and this prevent the body from getting nutritional values.
Projects like this are the exclusive preserve of the rich, how affordable is Mart life?
The subscription is not cheap it is expensive anywhere in the world. This is not a case of being rich or poor. Cancer treatment is not cheap, whosoever has it will treat it whether rich or poor. Now, Mart, life is offering an opportunity for people to remove what can generate into cancer. It is not a matter of class it is for everybody irrespective of social class or status.
Your stature, does it have anything to do with what you eat?
Let me tell you something, some persons will eat without chewing properly, if that happens; a food that is not properly chewed can stayed in the intestine for a month .Supposing a food is in a kitchen for 1 month what will happen, it will rotten and decay. Same thing happen to humans. Sometimes, this toxins comes from within ones system and once it is removed one can begin to live a healthy life.
Is Mart Life a full-fledged clinic?
Not at all. It is not a medical clinic where you can come to treat diseases or illnesses.It is a preventive clinic. We diagnose you and know that you shouldn’t eat a particular food item. What we do is ensure that we prevent diseases by telling people what they should take and what not to take into their systems.
