Saturday November 19, 2022 was an eventful day. It was a day of joy for UK Celebrity Woman, Mrs. Omotayo Bamgboye and her darling husband, Mr. Ajibola Bamgboye and the entire family. They held a befitting and talk of town wedding ceremony for their beloved daughter, Olabambo Oluwatosin in the city of Lagos, Nigeria.
The beautiful bride was the point of attention and attraction at the occasion. She was gorgeously dressed, looking radiant. Of course, it’s her day as you can read her mood which was explicitly happy and joyous as she joined her charming husband, Oluwadamilare Busayo Ojo in holy matrimony.
MEET THE COUPLES
The beautiful bride’s name is Olabambo Oluwatosin. She is the daughter of Mr. Ajibola Kola and Mrs. Omotayo Modupe Bamgboye of Ode Aye in Okitipupa Local Government, Ondo state. The groom on the other hand is the handsome son of Prince (Engineer) James Funsho and Yeye Adejoke Moyosade Ojo from Ootunja in Ikole Ekiti. What stands the new couples out is that they are both learned colleagues and barristers. It is a wedding of lawyers.
AT THE GRANDE ENGAGEMENT CEREMONY
Two days earlier, precisely Thursday November 17, 2022, the Bamgboyes received the Ojos as they held an eventful engagement ceremony for the love birds, Bambo and Damilare. Both family has done well in making the event which was held at Funplex Resort, a popular event center located inside the highbrow CMD Complex on CMD road, Magodo, Lagos, a remarkable one. Anchoring the engagement were two heavyweight traditional engagers; the classy Modupe Aya Alayo aka Alaga Omoluabi and the veteran Foluso Ogunjimi, the one and only Sokoyokoto presenter. They both coordinated the traditional engagement excellently as the couples and their respective families got really engaged amidst fun.
HOW THE COUPLES GOT WEDDED AT THE CHURCH
A very important part of the ceremony was the court wedding also called solemnization of Holy Matrimony. This was done at the Chapel of Christ The Light church in Alausa axis of Ikeja, Lagos state. At the service the couples shared their marital in the presence of the large congregation. They also took time to profess their sincere love for each other after which they had a warm embrace and romantic kiss to mark the beginning of their marriage and many good things to come as new couples.
HOW THE RECEPTION PARTY WENT
The wedding reception party was a Grande one anchored by wave making MC- Ebubedike. He no doubt gave a good delivery of the programme synopsis which was highly commendable. Whitestone Event Place, one of the best in town and most sought-after by top Lagos socialites played host as the venue of the highly classy and eventful party. Immediately after the court wedding was concluded, all attention was focused at the venue of the reception centre which is a few minutes from the church. Before the arrival of the newly Wedded and their parents, guests have started trooping into the events hall. Many of them are family members, friends, associates and well-wishers who came from far and near to celebrate with the couples and their parents who were in their happiest mood. The guests were made up of top dignitaries and celebrities. The party was indeed a star studded one. The highpoint of the reception was the entrance of the Ojos, the Groom’s parents and family after which the Bamgboyes, Bride’s family had grand arrival and entrance into the events hall. The newly Wedded were ushered into the hall in a very special way. The entire hall gave them a standing ovation as they danced their way through the aisle. The Groom’s men and bride’s maids opened the floor as they all displayed their skills to welcome the couples. Olabambo and Oluwadamilare stole the show as the two love birds gave a good account of themselves on the dance floor as they took the entire hall spellbound. After their arrival the chairman of the occasion gave his welcome address. He took time to admonish the newly Wedded on upholding true love and how best to keep the fire burning. After cutting the wedding cake, the couple proceeded to the dance floor to have their first ever dance together as man and wife. Later on, the bride was given the privilege to dance with her father while the groom stepped on the dance floor with his mother. Seeing the couples and appreciating their parents was fun. It shows that they truly appreciate them for all they have done right from birth till their wedding day. Later on, the dance floor was declared open for all and sundry who wish to rejoice with the celebrant on the dance floor. It was entertainment extra-ordinaire as Yinka Ayefele and his band supplied the needed tonic to enrich the party.
HOW YINKA AYEFELE DAZZLED AT THE PARTY
when Juju Music icon, Yinka Ayefele and his band took the party to another level, a great level beyond imagination. Those who couldn’t make it to the stage had great fun at their respective setting positions. Some of them couldn’t hold the urge and temptation to dance to the evergreen of Ayefele. He was indeed master of the art and king of the stage. His music and stage craft is unbeatable and ever-inviting.
DUCHESS ADEYINKA OBAT STOOD BY THE BAMGBOYES
The name Duchess Adeyinka Aderibole Obat Akinruntan needs no introduction on the social scene. The UK-based socialites and philanthropist really stood by the bride and her parents. She is a friend indeed to the Bamgboyes. Her support was immense as she was actively and physically present throughout the ceremony. She attended the ceremony with her socialite friends. At every occasion when needs arise to cheer the bride and her parents with money on the dance floor, she is always at the fore-front. She was among the big spenders right from the engagement ceremony up to the court wedding and finally the reception party.
THE NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION WAS AT THE EVENT
Worthy of note was how the immediate past president of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Olumide Apata and the incumbent president, Yakubu Maikyau stormed the reception party. They came in company of a high-power delegation representing the learned and prestigious profession. They came to honour the couples who are both members of the bar.
