GENESIS Prophet, ISREAL OLADELE
Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe is the founder and shepherd of the Celestial Church of Christ (Genesis Global Parish). He is well known for his accurate prophetic messages. He is one of the men of God who supported President Tinubu, even before he emerged President.
A few days ago, City People’s ISAAC ABIMBADE, got him to talk about President Tinubu’s government. Below are excerpts of the interview.
What can you say about Tinubu’s few days in office?
God will teach and lead him to do the right thing for Nigeria. Beyond the look and stature, there is a drive and a propelling force with the highest level of maturity in him.
President Tinubu knows what he’s doing. He has a sound mind and I didn’t regret I stood my ground for him. I was attacked then when I stood for him by whatsoever they call themselves but I stood my ground because I had my conviction and about.
Just look at his recent appointments. The caliber of people that he has chosen that will work with him. Brilliant Nigerians who are qualified in all aspects.
The removal of fuel subsidy is a welcome idea. He is a strong man. Even former President Buhari couldn’t achieve it. This is what you call a leader. Again, take a look at the CBN’s former governor. He is in detention accounting for his missing. That’s how it should be.
But I want President Tinubu to look into the Sunday Igboho case. We want him (President) to bring him back from exile in Cotonou. He too must have learned his lesson and he won’t do that again. This should also extend to Nnamdi Kanu. All of them are agitating for good governance. We now have a belief that Tinubu will deliver for Nigeria. Tinubu should see to Kanu’s case and hand him over to the Igbo leaders.
I urge Mr. President to please do this for Nigeria.
My advice for Sunday Igboho is that he needs to calm down to let peace reign.
What can you say about those Pastors who predicted that President Tinubu will not be sworn in plus other negative predictions against him?
About those Pastors who predicted, No1. They all did what they feel was right but God proved to them He has the final say. And there are lots of hatred, and bitterness from most Pastors who are acting like a Secretary, or Personal Assistance to God. They have to be careful of how they behave because as a leader, you must be very careful. There is one in Abuja that was ranting and renting before the swearing-in of Tinubu now he is turning back to say it’s God that wants to use him again. There is another one again from Portharcourt. Some of them have been making u-turn and all these baffle me and I remember when Jesus said if He comes again will He meet faith? I’m short of words when I started seeing some of them turning back within a few days. I have always said that, if you are a leader and a man with a purpose-driven, don’t just allow distractions, haters, and their words to discourage you since you know where you are going. I have been able to see determination, devotion, and discipline in this man. And Tinubu has been so ready to commit himself to transforming this country. My prayer is that God will help him to achieve the good things he has in mind for Nigeria. A lot of people predicted that he won’t stay there for 7 months. He won’t be there for 1 year. You can’t blame all these people. I won’t say some of these people aren’t called but sometimes you don’t allow your feelings and emotions to overrule the voice of God. Some of them just develop hatred for someone just because of what they heard. If some of the pastors are investigated in this country, you will be shocked by the many indiscipline that is going on. Among our so-called respected GOs and leaders, Christians are enemies of Christians.
I don’t remember any Muslim cleric with some predictions about the election. Some pastors were even saying they will leave Nigeria if Tinubu is elected. That should be seen as a shameful thing. Some said they will quit the ministry if Tinubu is elected. We now have the highest level of hypocrisy in Christendom today.
Sometimes if you want to speak beyond God’s revelation, you tend to run into prophetic and spiritual errors. I want to wait till Tinubu 100 days in office and I will do an exclusive interview.
Some of the so-called Obidients are now on Tinubu’s side, praising him for the good work and we shouldn’t forget what some media houses are doing. Some of them are being misled. If God be for us, who can be against us. God is actually with that man. It’s not about Muslim/Muslim ticket. It’s about Character, Competence and it’s about the Will of God. My ways aren’t your way, my thought are not your thought, as heaven is far from the earth so as my thought far from you. There are some things we see and judge according to what we have heard. And the Bible says we look unto things that are seen but unto things that aren’t seen, for the thing are seen are temporal and the thing are not seen are eternal. And I give the president kudos for that student loan.
How do you see the removal of fuel subsidy?
I’m in support of the removal of fuel subsidy because what is constant in life is Change and the battle you refused to fight now, you fight it later. The battle you can’t confront, you can’t conquer. Alot of people will go against it. It’s fine. Did you remember when they enforce we must all use belt while driving, it was difficult. Some people even rejected it but look at it today? Though, with the removal of subsidy it’s not been easy. The president has come out to say he feels our pains and he would work on it. It’s better we cry now and get our journey transformed than enjoy now and cry later. Whatever will make us great, whatever will make our journey great will not come from comfort zone. We have been so use to our comfort zone all this while and fear of the unknown has brought us this far. Let’s see how it goes. The government is working on many things to make things better. Though, I thought there would be proper planning before the removal but later realised the purpose of early removal. Every can’t just in one day. We should be able to endure process and we are going to enjoy God’s promises.
What do you see spiritually of Tinubu’s 4 years in office?
A lot of people will be exposed. There are lots of things that will be revealed. People you think Tinubu will not be able to handle or deal with, some of them will be investigated. God will lead him to greater prosperity. His time will lead to greater transformation of Nigeria. The Bible says the step of the righteous are ordered by the Lord. Being righteous doesn’t make one perfect but when God fought for you it will be different from when you struggle. I see Tinubu making use of Youths to transform the country. I see him using Women as well. He is God sent. He will transform the country with some resources Nigeria has abandoned. He’s going to be a different era In the history of the country. I see the country getting transformed. But will should not expect magic but it will be gradual. We should endure process and all of us we see that there is hope for Nigeria again
