Ademowo Ordains New Clergymen
The Anglican Communion with her rich tradition culture all laced in Spirituality is found to be orderly in worship and Church calendar.
The Diocese of Lagos which is the oldest Anglican Diocese in Nigeria had her Trinity ordination on Sunday 1st of July, 2018.
It was a service with a difference under the guidance of the Holy Spirit where 4 well -trained Ordinands were made deacons and 8 Deacons were ordained as priests.
Thousands of people from various tribes defiled the heavy rain to witness the colorful divine service .
The rainfall did not stop the attendance as well as the colourful procession. In fact, not a single umbrella was used under the rains.
The Diocesan, The Most Revd Dr Ephraim Adebola Ademowo OON FNAL, who happens to be the most senior Anglican Bishop by consecration in the whole of Nigeria, -having been a Bishop for almost 30 years, and in the ordained ministry for 46 years stepped out in his beautiful apparel, with the Lord bishop of Anglican Diocese of Igbomina West, The Rt Rev Jide Adebayo. With them on the procession were clergy of different ranks and the legal luminaries of the Diocese, led by the Chancellor of the Premier Diocese, Hon Justice Adedayo Oyebanji.
The preacher admonished all never to lose direction. He noted that salvation remains the foundation to the Christian lifestyle either as ordained or as Lay. It was indeed a great moment of Joy with spirit filled worship unto the Lord and a confirmation of the fact as spelt out in the Holy Scriptures “in the presence of God, there is fullness of Joy”
