Deconstruction, in fashion language, is dismantling clothes to destroy fashion. Experts say it involves picking apart and reassembling the standard components of a shirt in the most unexpected ways.
According to Comme de Garcons,2006, the design combines two opposing aesthetics giving both a presence, but denying either totality. Both garments are deconstructed from their original forms and are in play with one another. the term deconstruction has been used to describe the rebellion against fashion’s heritage. Element of deconstruction include vintage linings sewn on outside of clothes, exposed zippers and seams. Basically,the garments call attention to the mechanics of production, they strip away the aesthetic illusion associated with clothes to reveal the forms of construction that lay beneath.
Alison Gill in 1998 defined deconstruction in terms of fashion as garments that are unfinished, coming apart, recycled, transparent and grunge. She further explained, it is the literal dismantling of clothes to destroy fashion. it also involves picking apart and reassembling the standard components of a shirt in the most unexpected ways through uneven hems, cut-away shoulders and displaced seams.

You can wear a shirt into an off-the shoulder top; unbotton the first button, slide off the shoulder and pop the collar.
Another way of doing your shirt into a one- shoulder blouse: Unbutton three button, take the sleeves off completely. Bring one sleeve off completely. Bring one sleeve to the front and the other sleeve to the back. Bring the sleeve at the back over your shoulder and tie both sleeves together at the front.
